Card Design: Deedee's Digi of the Month Challenge...November

Progressive Freebie Challenge!
Hello and happy Thursday evening to you.  I posted a Thanksgiving themed freebie a little earlier and now I'm posting my project for the Digi of the Month Challenge taking place over at Deedee's Digis.

In order to enter the progressive challenge, you must either have received the latest image by having participated in the previous month or you can buy the stamp for the current month's challenge.  Everyone who enters and follows the rules is a winner because you automatically get the stamp for the next month's challenge.  Stop by the site and check out the rules for yourself.  Be sure to check out the store while you are there too.  Currently there are a few sets available for free and of course there are some wonderful ones available for purchase in the store.

Right now it is time to check out the awesome set participants got to work with this month...

Polar Peace is a fab set perfect for any Christmas creations.  As always, Deedee's sets come with both outline and coloured versions to provide you with incredible variety and sentiments to help you out as well.  If you did not participate in last month's challenge, you can still purchase this set for just $1.25 during the month of November at the store or get it for free with any $10.00 purchase (check blog for more details). You can find it in the store HERE.

As you can see, this month's set offered FOUR different awesome images to choose from.  As soon as I saw the star image and the "to-from' sentiment, I knew exactly what I wanted to make.

Here are my tag and the details...

Well that is it for tonight.  Have a great one!

Until next time,

Happy Thanksgiving America!

Oh my goodness.  I am sorry that I am posting this so late in the day.  I was hoping to get it done last night but have had to deal with some unexpected computer issues.  SOMEONE living in this house who shall remain nameless, decided to download a game onto MY laptop.  HE knows better because he never reads carefully when he is downloading stuff.  As a result I ended up with this 'palikan search' engine which I couldn't get rid of.  After some investigation I found out that it spies on your web browsing history and delivers ads and promoted links that match your browsing history but that it can also be used to hijack your system.  So then the quest for trying to remove it started.

I checked a couple sites and downloaded three different programs geared at locating spybots and adware.  The odd thing is that each program found something different.  There was quite a bit of adware that I wasn't aware of on the laptop.  At least two of the programs allowed a fix option for free.  Of course the third program which found other stuff has to be purchased and at approx. $60 for six months, that is a bit too steep for our budget.  Obviously the programs I currently use aren't picking these things up at all so now I'm going to have to start running a bunch of different scans everyday to try and catch these things.  Now the one program located palikan and apparently deleted it but it still showed up in my Firefox when I rebooted.  I've set the browser back to its default and hopefully have taken care of the issue.  SOMEONE has been banned from using my laptop.  I lost all last night to trying to deal with the issue and over two hours today as well.  As such I didn't get a chance to create my freebie in honour of the American Thanksgiving until just now.

Of course, then I ran into a glitch when I wanted to start working on the paper.  When I made the one in honour of the Canadian Thanksgiving, I had come across a cute pilgrim clip art image over at Pixabay and thought I'd use it for today's paper.  I'm starting to think my biorhythm is in the toilet because when I typed Pixabay into my search engine, an 'authentication required' box is popping up asking for my user name and password?  Huh??!!  I was just there last night for Pete's sake!  What is going on now?  Hopefully tomorrow it will be back to normal but for now that left me in a lurch.  Thankfully however, I did find an alternate pilgrim's hat from a different company so that I at least was able to come up with something.

Long story but there it is.  That is why I'm so late!  So here is what I came up with.  Hopefully you be able to use it on next year's Thanksgiving projects.

This paper is 3600 x 3600 pixels and in jpg format and published at 300 dpi. Credits include:  Free PSD Files and Rita from the The Coffee Shop Blog.  To grab today's offering, click the download button to be taken to a download location.  In the zip folder you will find a copy of the paper, the preview sheet, the full credit information and my terms of use which are standard to all my folders.

I hope that those of you celebrating Thanksgiving today in the US, have a wonderful day surrounded by family and/or friends.  These same wishes go out to all my readers, followers and friends of course, no matter where you may live in the world.  Now if you do happen to live in the States, enjoy your feast today.  I'd love for someone to have a great big slice of any kind of pie (as long as there are no nuts) and let me know how good it was.  Or a bite of stuffing....ooh, then there are all those mashed potatoes out there too...yum!

I'm hoping to also get my creation for the Deedee's Digis progressive challenge done this evening so I might just see you all again a bit later.

Until then,

Oopsies! Bonus Date Stamp for November Error Now Fixed

Ummmm.  Oopsies!  It has been pointed out to me (and thank you so much Suze for doing so) that I made a boo boo with the date stamp offered up in yesterday's Wonderful Wednesdays--Offering for November (which you can scroll down one post to find).

When I was working on the date stamp, I remembered to change all the colours, but I forgot to change the word from October to November (I use the previous month as a template).  Well, I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later.

I've updated the original post and am adding it here to in case someone downloaded it and didn't catch the mistake.

Sorry about that folks!  I always proof my posts a minimum of two to three times and still couldn't catch it.  Although, to be honest, the way my brain has been functioning lately, I'm actually surprised I am not making more ridiculous mistakes.

Remember, left click on this one to bring it up in the lightbox and then right click to save it in its original size.

I'm working on another freebie in honour of the American Thanksgiving and hope to post it in a little while.  I'll explain why it is coming out so late in the day in that post.

Until then,
