Bookmark Design and a Freebie...Courtesy Nicecrane Designs

http://nicecranedesigns.com/
It is Friday evening, just a little after 8:00 p.m. as I sit and create this post.  The hubs is off playing Bingo so I'm taking advantage of my time alone and doing as much work as I can.  Right now I want to share a special set of bookmarks that I created for the hubs, using a new set of images from Nicecrane Designs.

Check them out...

CLOSER VIEW, TWO AT A TIME...

Digital Image Details:

  • Lord's Prayer Vintage Tags: For anyone who is Christian and loves vintage, this is a beautiful portrayal of the Lord's Prayer broken down into lovely word art creations.
Project Notes:
  • As soon as I saw this set, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.  The hubs uses scrap pieces of paper to hold different locations in his Bible and other spiritual books.  Thus, I thought it would be perfect to somehow create bookmarks using these prayer images.  Now they look simple enough to create but of course, since I haven't mastered the art of the Big Shot yet and not knowing just the right thickness for things to cut properly, it actually took me over three hours just to remove all the little pieces that didn't cut completely through.  For three nights in a row, I took the images to bed with me and while I had the television on in the background, I spent my time cutting away the extra bits while the hubs snored softly beside me.  By the time I was done each night, my poor hand was numb from where the scissors cut into me.  I told the hubs he better not spill any coffee on them or ruin them for at least three months or I'll running him through the machine for practice!
Die Cut:
  • Spellbinders Nestabilities Lattice Rectangles.
Paper Products:
  • Base: Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, white.
Challenges I am hoping to enter...
Now for the Freebie Part...

Well, it is now just about 9:15 p.m.  I still have a little over an hour before the hubs comes home so it is time to start working on a new project!

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Until next time,

  2. Have you tried running it through more than once before you take it out? I sometimes find that works better - still doesn't necessarily cut through everything though.
