Card Design: Pattie's Creations Design Challenge #91...Mother's Day

http://pattiescreationschallenge.blogspot.ca
Happy Friday everyone!  It is time to announce the next challenge over at Pattie's Creations Design ChallengeThis time around for Challenge #91, the theme for the next two weeks is Mother's Day. I thought that I would make my momma something special to go on or inside her card (which I've yet to make).  Since I'm into bookmarks lately, that is the route I took.

This time I used a shape that is more in line with the size of a bookmark as it measures approx. 5.25 inches by 1.85.  I just used a small circle punch to add the hole at the top for the ribbon.

Check it out...

Digital Image Details:
  • Nap Time:  Isn't this image absolutely adorable?!  My momma loves cats so it is the purrfect image to use for her bookmark.  You can find this image in Pattie's Etsy shop by clicking on the image name or watermark linked below.

    • Coloured with Copics.  On hindsight I shouldn't have coloured the pot green.  I forgot I was fussy cutting it right to the line.
Digital Sentiment Details:
  • One I created.  I thought it was a cute expression that worked purrfectly with this sweet image.
  • I used chalk around the edges to give it a bit of colour.  My wonderful friend Desíre taught me that trick.

Electronic Die Cut Cartridge:
  • The word 'mother' and all its layers is cut using the Phrases cartridge from Cricut.

OVERALL
 Paper Products:

  • Bookmark base: Michael's Recollection's cardstock, Soda Pop Collection.
  • Sentiment and image base: Michael's Recollection's cardstock,white.
  • Along with Michael's Recollection's white cardstock, I used two pink papers from the Pink Buttons collection on the diecut of mother.
Electronic Die Cut Cartridge:
  • The bookmark base is cut using the George cartridge from Cricut.
Embossing Folder:
  • I embossed the bookmark base with a Goosebumpz embossing folder using my wonderful Big Shot machine.
Challenges I am hoping to enter...

I really hope that you will join us sometime during the next two weeks.  Don't forget that along with all the typical rules that apply to the majority of challenges out there (please click HERE to become familiar with all the rules), you MUST USE A DIGITAL OR STAMPED IMAGE to qualify for the drawing (unless stated otherwise).  We would absolutely love to see you use a Pattie's Creations (PC) image on your card, but you are allowed to use other images.  If you do use a PC image, you will gain an extra entry in the draw and will have a better chance to WIN!  You can enter twice per challenge and of course MUST follow all the challenge requirements that are posted for each challenge. Easy Peasy right!

As always, I hope that you will also check out what my fabulous teammates have offered up for inspiration and pop over in two weeks time for the next challenge brought to you by Team Pattieboop.  Oh and don't forget...Pattie is offering up a new freebie today.  Freebies go up the first Friday of the month but you better hurry because it will only be available for three days.  You won't want to miss it!

Until next time,

  6. Lisa - I love this bookmark! How clever with the sentiment, and I get it 'The purrfect place to stop', as in where you stopped reading in the book! The embossing texture brings it to a whole new level, that being gorgeous!
