Blog Hop: Off to Gramma's for the Holidays with Create with TLC

Well hello there everyone.  Today is a special one as I am participating in my very first blog hop with Create with TLC.  The theme of this hop is Off to Gramma's for the Holidays; so, climb on board and let's take a trip!

You should have arrived here from the talented Ileana's blog.  If you are just starting, you can find a full list of all the hop stops at the bottom of this post.

For this card I got to use the very cool vintage image called, "Grammas or Bust Balloon".  Paulette is generously offering it up as a freebie to everyone who participates in the hop; so, be sure to head on over to her BLOG and leave her some love!
To save the image, left click to bring it up in the lightbox in its full size and then right click and scroll down to 'save image as'.

Here is the card I created.  I've gone rather non-traditional with my colour scheme, opting for an antiqued black and white combo.  Check it out...

FRONT
Digital Image Details:
  • Grammas or Bust Balloon:  As mentioned previously, the image used on the front is the freebie you can find above.  For more wonderful freebies, click HERE to head to Paulette's blog.  You can find tons of awesome options for sale in the store as well.  Click HERE to head there now.

INSIDE
Digital Sentiments:
  • The first sentiment is the freebie that Paulette is offering up on her blog during the hop.  Click HERE to go to Paulette's blog where you'll be able to grab the freebie.  The 'Happy Holidays' sentiment I used is from the "Happy Holiday Season" Vintage Image Transfer and Word Art Set.  Click HERE or on the watermark below to head to its location in the store.
OVERALL
Embellishments:
  • The black ribbon on the front and inside is Offray brand purchased at Michael's.
 Paper Products:
  • Image and sentiment base: Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, white.
  • Card base: Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, black.
  • Black shimmery cardstock used for matting is Michael's open stock scrapbook paper.
Challenges I am hoping to enter...

Next stop on the route is the last one over at the Create With TLC blog.  Click HERE to head on over!

If you missed any of the stops along the way, here is the complete list.  You are definitely going to want to check out what all my fellow team members have in store for you:
