Blog Hop: Spring Gardening Hop with TLC Creations

If you live in the northern hemisphere, this weekend officially marks the start of spring!  So, it is fitting that we have a Spring Garden themed blog hop!

You should have arrived here from the talented Karen's blog.  If you are just starting, you can find a full list of all the hop stops at the bottom of this post.

For my card, I got to use the cool seed packet image you see below.  Paulette is generously offering up the image as a freebie to everyone who participates in the hop and stops by my blog; so, be sure to head on over to her BLOG and leave her some love if you grab it!

To save image, left click to bring it up in the lightbox in its full size and then right click and scroll down to 'save image as'.

Time to check out the card I created...

General Information:
  • This card was created 100% digitally and then layered in a poster mockup designed by Design Bolts

FRONT
Digital Image Details:
  • Musk Melon Seed Pack Vintage:  As mentioned previously, the image used on the front is the freebie that Paulette is allowing me to offer up on my blog.  You can grab it above.
  • I have coloured parts of it digitally.

Digital Sentiment Details:
  • The "G is for Garden" sentiment was a freebie I picked up awhile back and was also created by Paulette.  For more wonderful freebies, click HERE to head to Paulette's blog.  Click HERE to go to the home page of the store.

Digital Embellishments:
  • The circle and pennant shapes are tag shapes and were created from templates purchased from Marisa Lerin, Pixel Scrapper.

INSIDE
Digital Image Details:
  • #614 Garden Spade:  This cute spade is from Scribbles Designs.  Click on the name or watermark to find it in the store.  You can also purchase it as part of this set HERE.

Digital Sentiment Details:
  • Another freebie created by Paulette.

OVERALL
Digital Embellishments:

  • The shape used for matting in behind the sentiment on the inside is a simple shape created in Photoshop Elements.
  • The shadows to give each element some depth were created with a layer style, from Sheila Reid, also with Pixel Scrapper.

Digital Paper Products:
  • I used all the papers from my Simply Spring mini kit.

Challenges I am hoping to enter...

  12. You have created a great card. All the elements work great together. I love that the image is a "muskmelon"...my hubby is the only one I know that uses that vintage term!

  13. My husband can't grow enough muskmelon; I'll need to use this image to make a card for him. The texture of the green paper reminds me of the melon husk, which is why you used it! :D
