Freebie: A Day to Remember

Hello friends. Once again, November 11th has rolled around. A day that we should never forget!

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in the year 1918, the battlefields drew quiet as the hostilities ceased. Thus bringing an end to World War I, 102 years ago today.

Each of us living in Commonwealth countries around the world, should take a moment today to remember and honour those who have bravely fought in ALL wars to help keep the peace and keep us safe.

Each year I try to honour this day in my own small way with something special. Here is a digital paper I created for anyone interested. I get that it isn't as versatile as some papers but I came across these incredible medals and thought it would be a great paper for anyone who knows someone in the military and also something different for the future We Remember Kit that I am working on.

This digital paper is 3600 x 3600 pixels, in jpg format and published at 300 dpi. I've used resources from Alexander Lesnitsky (aka AlLes via Pixabay), Shadowhouse Creations and The Coffee Shop Blog. Full credits in the file. To grab it, click the download button to be taken to a download location. In the zip folder you will find a copy of the paper, its preview sheet, the full credit information and my terms of use which are standard to all my folders.

Card Design: Pattie's Creations Challenge #176…Anything Goes

Hello there folks! I hope that each of you is continuing to stay healthy in your own little corner of this world as we continue our battle with Covid-19. Things are so much worse at a time when we'd hoped they would be better so I wish you the best wherever you are from.

I'm popping in today to announce the next challenge over at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge. This time around for Challenge #176, the theme is Anything Goes. Once again you can upload your projects with any kind of theme.

General Project Info:
  • This card has been created 100% digitally and then layered in a Mock Up (courtesy of Frisk Shop). It will be printed out and assembled prior to dissemination.

Digital Image Details:
  • Candy Canes With Bow: A beautiful image perfect for any type of Christmas card. You can find it in Pattie's Etsy shop by clicking on the image name.

Digital Embellishments:

  Digital Sentiment Details:
  • The sentiment used on the front and inside is one that was created by Paulette from Create with TLC that I have just separated into two parts for the purposes of this card. For great freebies and inspiration be sure to click HERE to go to Paulette's blog and for awesome sets for purchase, click HERE to go to the home page of the store.
Digital Paper Products:
  • The paper used as a base on the front and inside is one designed by myself and is from the Candy Cane Flavours Patterned Paper Mini Kit.
Digital Embellishments:
  • I have used basic shapes in Photoshop to create matting in behind the image and sentiment.
  • I have applied shadow layer styles to give certain elements some depth. These styles were designed by Sheila Reid, Pixel Scrapper.

Challenges I am hoping to enter...

You have until December 3rd to enter our challenge which should give you lots of time to get a creation done. Remember the theme is Anything Goes. I really hope that you will be able to join us. You can enter three times per challenge and of course MUST follow all the challenge requirements that are posted (please click HERE to become familiar with all the rules).

Pop over to the challenge blog and check out what my fabulous teammates have offered up for inspiration. Oh and don't forget…Pattie offers up a new freebie the first Friday of the month and it will remain up for approximately two weeks; so, be sure to pop over and check it out as well!

Well guys, that is it for this one. Have the best November you can!!!
Until next time,
