O.M.G. I know I'm busy but this is ridiculous even for me. Do you remember waaaaaaaaay back in April when I had a special link up to celebrate my 50th birthday?!!! Well, I'm finally getting around to announcing the winner for it.

One lucky person who joined the link party will get to choose any ONE of the following (Option 1):

  • Living on the Edge collection
  • Celebration Mini Kit + Heartland Mini Kit
  • Flower Power Kit
  • Holiday Hoopla Kit
  • Beauty of Butterflies Kit
  • Floral Cats Kit

Winner Announcement: TLC Bloghop

http://createwithtlc-createwithtlc.blogspot.ca/
I've just been down the rabbit hole and have come back up with the winners of the special sentiment set I created for the recent Alice in Wonderland themed bloghop sponsored by Create with TLC.

I was absolutely tickled pink with the number of comments I received--46 of them!  The highest number of comments ever on one post if I remember correctly!!!

Several people played along for their chance to win.  We'll start with the winners of the sentiment set.

There were two different ways to win or earn it.

First up, I offered to give away the set for free to anyone who provided me with proof of purchase of the special Bloghop set that Paulette sold over at TLC during the duration of the hop.  Two people took advantage of this; so, congrats to both Anne M. and Margaret A. who have already received their set.

Next up, anyone who left a comment telling me which Alice in Wonderland Character they related most to and why, was eligible to win a copy of the set.  I never stated how many sets were available to win, I merely stated that the more people who commented, the more sets I would give away.  Well, a total of 17 people let me know who they identified with.
  • 7 people related to Alice.
  • 4 people related to the White Rabbit.
  • 3 people related to the Mad Hatter.
  • 2 people related to the Cheshire Cat.
  • 1 person related to the March Hare.
  • 1 person related to the Queen of Hearts.
  • 1 person related to three different characters:  the White Rabbit, the Mad Hater and the Cheshire Cat!
It was such fun to read everyone's reasoning as to why they related to the specific character they chose.  If you want to check out some of the responses, click HERE and scroll down to the comment section.  Their replies will definitely put a smile on your face if you are a fan of Alice in Wonderland.

I have decided I am going to give out a total of six different sets! The first four sets were chosen randomly (using Miniwebtool.org).  Congrats to:

Lynne aka Her Craftiness
DonnaMundinger
TangledBlueRose (Kim)
Tigger a(r)t work

Then I decided to give away a set to the person whose comment I enjoyed the most.  Problem was, choosing only one was much more difficult than I thought it was going to be.  The comments left were are wonderful.  In the end, I couldn't come up with just one, so there are two particular comments that put an extra smile on my face.

So, congrats to:
Debi B.
Maureen J. Scott

I'm going to share those comments here.  Hopefully they will put a smile on your face as well.

The first one is from Debi B who said:
Lisa,
Fabulous card and lots of info in this post. Thank you for all that work! I think I relate to Alice when she took the pill to make her small. At 4'10" and shrinking, there has been many a time I wished I had the antidote pill! Thanks for the banner. I may be back to work on those quotes.
    Hugs,
    DebiB

Given that I am only 5' myself, that my mom and aunt are 4' 11" and that my grandmother was about 4' 8", I can definitely relate to all of us wanting an antidote pill often during our lives!

The second one is from Maureen J. Scott  who said:
Oh Fabulous Lisa! I reckon, right now, at this time of the month, I'm a bit like the Queen of Hearts - 'all ways here are my ways', and if you don't do it my way... off with your head! Or, bed without any supper in the case of these crazy kids of mine! hahaha
    mo x
I just got this vision of Maureen running around shouting 'off with your heads' to her wayward children and ended up with a fit of the giggles.

So ladies, in order to claim your free sentiment set, just send an email to decossesdynamitedoodles {at} yahoo {dot} ca, (don't forget to replace the {at} and {dot} with the appropriate symbols) with the subject heading TLC Bloghop Sentiment Winner.

Finally, at the very end of my post, I offered to send a copy of the A Matter of Time paper set for free (I used one of the papers in the background of my card) to the first person who was able to spot and recite the four quotes I used in my post from Alice in Wonderland.

Congrats to...
Nan Bourdeu

who found the following quotes in my post:
  1. don't be a wildflower and join the tea party
  2. curiouser and curiouser
  3. We're all mad here
  4. Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.
Nan, to claim your free set of papers, send an email to decossesdynamitedoodles {at} yahoo {dot} ca, (don't forget to replace the {at} and {dot} with the appropriate symbols) with the subject heading TLC Bloghop Paper Win.

Well, I think that should about cover it!  Thank you so much to everyone who participated.  I hope that I'll see you all play again in a future giveaway.

I'll leave off with one of my favourite quotes from Alice in Wonderland:

“Have I gone mad? I'm afraid so.
You're entirely Bonkers.
But I will tell you a secret,
All the best people are.”

12 Months of Christmas Link Up December Winners + Winners of Year End Goodies

http://decossesdynamitedoodles.blogspot.ca/p/the-12-days-of-christmas-card-link-up.html
Hello everyone!  It is time for the above badge to officially retire, as December was the last month for the The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up here on my personal blog.  Thank you so much to everyone who linked up their cards during 2014.  From January 1st until December 31st, a total of 1044 cards were linked up.  That was by word of mouth alone as I never advertised this link up with Paper Playful.  Thanks to your support of this unique link up, it grew big enough to acquire a blog solely dedicated to it!!!

I hope that you will come over to the new home for our link up and continue to join us during 2015.  I encourage you to grab and post the new badge in your sidebar (you can find it in the top right hand side of this blog) and link it to:  http://12monthsofchristmaslinkup.blogspot.ca.  Remember that even though it is on a different blog, the premise behind the link up is staying the same:  each month that you link up a minimum of two cards, you'll still earn a free digital paper; and, there will still be a bonus gift for a random winner at the end of the year.  You'll still get the chance to link up as many cards as you want and any of the cards you link up in general can continue to be 'Anything Goes'.  The difference is that we're adding some extra incentive that will hopefully provide motivation for even more people to play along.   We are expanding the link up to include an optional theme each month and now have sponsors booked for the entire year.  Anyone who submits a card adhering to the optional monthly theme, will have the chance to win a prize from that month's guest sponsor.  We also have a fabulous team to provide you with inspiration each month, and will be offering up tutorials and bringing you facts each month on holiday traditions and customs from around the world.  It will be the same great link up that you are used to, just with some added flavour!

Right now though it is time to share all the names of those people who linked up two cards in December and are eligible to receive the final paper of 2014.

DECEMBER
Apparently I'm going to finish out the year not adding up.  For the life of me I can't figure this one out.  Originally, I added that there were 150 cards (894-1044) but when I added all the individual cards up from everyone I could only come up with 149.  I re-added at least five times and nothing changed.  Now, this is where it gets weird.  I realized when I went back and checked that Dec. actually started at 895.
While that would effectively give me a total of 149, it also knocked one individual's list down from 28 to 27.  In my mind, that would mean that I'd count 149 overall but 148 individually.  However, that is not the case.  I can't figure it out but now I'm adding up the individual cards to 150 which is where I thought it should have been in the first place.  I re-added at least five times again before giving up.  Maybe Monica, my partner on the new blog will do better at adding than me.  It is very embarrassing.

Regardless of the counting mistake, December did see the highest number of cards linked up.  24 people did the linking and 20 of those individuals linked up a minimum of two cards each qualifying them to receive the final paper for 2014, which I've included the watermark of, below.

So, the following people need to send an email to decossesdynamitedoodles {at} yahoo {dot} ca, or by clicking HERE to bring the address up in your email program, with the subject heading, "Christmas Link Up--December":

12 Months of Christmas Link Up November Winners + Special DT Team Preview

http://decossesdynamitedoodles.blogspot.ca/p/the-12-days-of-christmas-card-link-up.html
Hello everyone!  I've got a special treat for you today.  Not only am I listing the November winners for The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up, I'm also going to be sharing creations from our new DT, showcasing the paper that is up for grabs this month.

Since December is officially the last month that the Link Up will be over here on my blog, I thought it would be nice to give you a glimpse of what will be in store for you on the new blog starting in January. This way you get to know a little bit about their style before they officially start.  I was very lucky and grateful that so many of the DT had the time to create a card for this special post.

For this particular project, team members created a card using this month's paper and images from any artist they wanted.  Starting next month, their cards will feature images from all the fabulous sponsors Monica and I have managed to bring on board.

First up, here is a watermark of the eleventh paper of the season:

...and here are some wonderful creations showcasing it:
Please note that while each of the frames is linked to the person's individual blog, some team members may not be posting their project today.  They may have decided to post it later in the week.  If I know of the exact date of posting, it will be written underneath the specific frame.

To be posted on Julie's blog on Dec. 21st.

Being posted today.  You can find it HERE.

http://suek86401.blogspot.com/

Even my awesome partner in crime Monica, had some time to create using this paper...
Aren't they all just fabulous!  Monica and I are very lucky to have such an incredibly talented team!!!  You'll get to see more wonderful inspiration using my papers and sponsor's images each month in the coming year over on the new blog for The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up, which can be found HERE.

Don't Forget...
We have blog candy up for grabs for some digital goodies.  You can find out everything you need to know by clicking HERE.

Now for the STATS for November...
Well, I knew the adding streak was going to come to an end sooner or later.  For some reason I've added up that there are 133 cards but there should only be 132.  I added an extra one somewhere along the line.

All individuals listed below should send and an email to decossesdynamitedoodles {at} yahoo {dot} ca, or by clicking HERE to bring the address up in your email program, with the subject heading, "Christmas Link Up -- November":

Welcome to Sammibug, ScrappEllen, Katherine C and Charlotte C, linking up two cards for the very first time!

Now, as always, if you thought you had linked up two cards but don't find your name in the list above, just let me know and we'll sort things out.

I ask that you continue to be patient with waiting for me to send out your paper(s).  While I'm normally rather busy, these days it is worse with a case of the Christmas Crazies.  I promise that I'll get to it as quick as I can.
However, if you haven't received your paper within a week, please write me again as your request may have been lost in the mail.  Unfortunately, cyberspace is apparently very fond of my mail both incoming and outgoing and sometimes doesn't want to let it go.  I will also add these names to the link up page as soon as I can, for anyone who doesn't see this post.

There are still just under two weeks left to link up a minimum of two cards and earn your paper for December and then the link up goes to its new home in January.  Remember that at the end of the year there will be an opportunity to potentially earn even more goodies in a special draw.  You can find out all the details you need for linking up to my 12 Months of Christmas Link Up by clicking the same titled page above or HERE.  Hope to see your cards linked up there!

Well folks, that is it for this one.  I'll see you all again a bit later in the day!

Until then,
