Today marks another very special day in the Décosse household. Exactly 26 years ago, the hubs and I were married. As you've learned by now, our celebrations means presents for all of you.
Now my inspiration for this paper is a bit odd and deserves an explanation. I know that I have told you how incredible the man I love is. Well, here is another reason why.
When we were all out at dinner last Wednesday celebrating the hubs' birthday, the discussion of cheesecake came up during dessert. New York Cheesecake is my absolute favourite dessert. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to purchase cheesecake in over five years (at least) because everything these days has allergy warnings on it to protect the companies, even if there are no actual allergens in the product. So I sadly lamented that evening that I would probably never get to eat cheesecake again unless of course I learned how to cook one myself. Well, somebody was apparently listening very close to that.
On Monday evening while I was preparing dinner, I opened the fridge and started babbling like a lunatic: "huba, huba, bubababa, huba..." and it went on for about two minutes straight! There sitting on the shelf was a home-made cherry cheesecake. He must have snuck it upstairs and put it in the fridge when my back was turned. Anyway, I went to the living room and smothered the man in kisses. Apparently, he mentioned the fact that he really wanted to get a cheesecake made for me at work on Friday and one of his co-workers offered herself for hire. He brought it home on Saturday after work and snuck it into the fridge in the basement. Of course, he then forgot it until Monday but at least remembered to bring it up before it had gone bad.
Now unfortunately, I can't actually share the cheesecake with you but I can share a picture of it...
Yum! My mouth is watering just thinking about it!
So, in honour of the amazing man who arranged for me to receive this amazing gift, I have created a cherries themed digital paper which I am sharing with you all in honour of our wedding anniversary. The cherries in the paper are a little bit heart shaped so it is actually fitting!
This
digital paper is 3600 x 3600 pixels, in jpg format and published at
300 dpi. I've used resources from The Coffee Shop, Jennifer Scraps, Pixabay, and HG Graphic Designs. Full credits in the file. To grab it, click the download button to be taken to a download
location. In the zip
folder you will find a copy of the paper, its preview sheet, the full credit
information and my terms of use which are standard to all my folders.
Unfortunately we won't be able to go out to supper tonight as planned as the hubs had to work later than expected but we're hoping to go out and celebrate on Saturday instead. I don't know what we'll be having for dinner but I do know what I'll be having for dessert when we come home!
Until next time,
