Tag Design: Scribbles Designs Flash Freebie Inspiration...February 3rd--Lipstick

Howdy folks! I'm popping in to let you know of a change over on the Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog.

Freebie Friday is going to become Flash Freebie. Basically, that means that instead of a regularly planned freebie, you'll now have to keep your eye on the blog because you just never know when a freebie might be offered. You might see two Flash Freebies in a month or you might have to wait two months for the next one!

For more details on this change, head over to the challenge blog. Today I've offered up two freebies--a lipstick image [#F 130 Lipstick (Free)] and its coloured counterpart [#F 133 Lipstick (Free)]. You can find the freebie over in today's post by clicking HERE or these images can also be found in the store [#F 130 can be found HERE and #F 133 can be found HERE].

General Info:
  • This tag has been created 100% digitally and then layered in a Mock Up (courtesy of Frisk Shop). I will print it out and assemble it a later date.

So, be sure to follow the Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog so you don't miss any Flash Freebies. Don't forget, you can find the Lipsticks from February 3rd's post HERE. It is a great way to add to your SD digi stamp collection. Remember, when you use an SD image on a project that you enter into our monthly challenge, you get extra entries! That is a great incentive to use one of Sandy's images. Why not this one?

Card Design: Deedee's Digi of the Month Challenge...November

Progressive Freebie Challenge!
Hello and happy Thursday evening to you.  I posted a Thanksgiving themed freebie a little earlier and now I'm posting my project for the Digi of the Month Challenge taking place over at Deedee's Digis.

In order to enter the progressive challenge, you must either have received the latest image by having participated in the previous month or you can buy the stamp for the current month's challenge.  Everyone who enters and follows the rules is a winner because you automatically get the stamp for the next month's challenge.  Stop by the site and check out the rules for yourself.  Be sure to check out the store while you are there too.  Currently there are a few sets available for free and of course there are some wonderful ones available for purchase in the store.

Right now it is time to check out the awesome set participants got to work with this month...

Polar Peace is a fab set perfect for any Christmas creations.  As always, Deedee's sets come with both outline and coloured versions to provide you with incredible variety and sentiments to help you out as well.  If you did not participate in last month's challenge, you can still purchase this set for just $1.25 during the month of November at the store or get it for free with any $10.00 purchase (check blog for more details). You can find it in the store HERE.

As you can see, this month's set offered FOUR different awesome images to choose from.  As soon as I saw the star image and the "to-from' sentiment, I knew exactly what I wanted to make.

Here are my tag and the details...

Bookmark Design: From the Heart Stamps April Challenge

http://fromtheheartstamps.com/community/blog/
It is time to post my project for the April, From the Heart Stamps (FTHS) progressive stamp of the month challenge. Woop, woop!  I even got it done with five days to spare!

While you are there, have a look around.  They have some really awesome images.

This time around I decided to make a birthday tag.  Here is my project and the details.  I hope I haven't forgotten anything important...

General Information:
  • For this project I actually got to use one of my own tags (made with elements from Marisa Lerin, Pixel Scrapper & Art of Nadia).  Details below.

TAG FRONT

 Digital Image Details:
  • The image on the front, Hamlet PigWit Being Shy, is available for purchase over at From the Heart Stamps. Click HERE or on the watermark below to go to its location in the store.
  • I brought the image into Photoshop Elements and then layered it right on top of the tag.  I also added a shadow (courtesy of Megan Tundridge).  Next, I printed it, fussy cut it out and then coloured it in with Copic Markers.
  • If you missed out, you can still play along with the challenge by purchasing the image. Then you can enter the challenge and receive next month’s digi free. Alternatively, if you spend $10 in the From The Heart Stamps store this month, you'll receive the image for free.  To find the special code you need, be sure to check out the original post by clicking HERE.
Stamp Preview by FromTheHeartStamps
Digital Sentiment Details:
  • I wanted to come up with something 'pig' related and looked online to see what there was.  Sadly, nothing really fit. Then I went traipsing through my old FTHS files and found one that said "Hope your Hallowe'en is filled with squeals of delights".  It was perfect except for having the wrong occasion so I just whipped this one up myself.  Thanks for the inspiration Faith!
  • I layered the sentiment right onto the tag, along with the image before printing it out.
Embellishments:
  • The flowers, lace and half pearls are all Crafts brand and were purchased at Dollarama.
Paper Products:
  • Bookmark base: Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, white.
Digital Products:
  • As mentioned earlier, the tag is one of my own.  It is available in the Patterned Tags set of the Tag Grab Bag 1:  Cotton Candy Collection.  If you'd like to purchase this set, please let me know so I can upload it to the store.
Challenges I am hoping to enter:
Others I might get it into...
My final progressive challenge is done for the month.  However I still have lots more to accomplish over the next five days.  Wish me luck!  I'm off and running to the next task on the list right now!

Until next time,

Tag Design: Kewpie Countdown to Love with Nicecrane Designs Day 3

http://nicecranedesigns.com/

For the past two days I have showcased two of three tags I created for my husband for Valentine's Day.  Well, it is time to show you the final day in my countdown to love.  I'm sure that you've seen a theme taking place here as all three tags feature one of the sweet little Kewpie Dolls from Nicecrane Designs new set of images.
I hid all the tags last night.  I put one on the top of his coffee machine, the second in the cupboard tied to his coffee cup and the third in the fridge tied to the soy milk carton.  Since he can't start his morning without coffee, I knew these would be good locations where he'd be sure to find them first thing.  Since he is working until 7:00 p.m. tonight, I have no idea what he thought of them.  I am just hoping he liked them.  Since it has been sooooooo cold outside, I have not dipped my toes out of the front door since we returned from our visit with family during the Christmas holidays.  As a result I haven't had the chance to pick him up any treats for today so the tags and his card are it.
Digital Image Details:
  • It has been so much fun playing with these three precious little Kewpie dolls.  Each is unique in its own way.  I hope I get the opportunity to work with more of them soon.  Wouldn't they be just fabulous on a baby card?!  In case you've missed the other two posts, this image is one of 14 Kewpie Doll images available in a new stunning set from Nicecrane Designs that includes both the colour version AND the black and white version.  I've used the colour version in all my projects this week.  You can click on the watermark below to head to its location in the store.
 http://nicecranedesigns.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=124&products_id=1219
Digital Sentiment:
  • Created in Publisher.  I added a solid outline to the textbox before printing.
Embellishments:
  • The little heart is Craft's brand purchased at Dollarama.
  • The curling ribbon is from my stash.
Electronic Die Cut:
  • The gift shaped tag base was cut out using my Cricut machine and the Birthday Bash cartridge.
Digital Papers:
  • The theme of using a fabulous paper from my wonderful new digital paper pack created by Kris B. from Imagine That Digis, continues.  This marks five projects this week using this same paper set! I think I've made a record.  All of these awesome papers are from the digital paper pack called "Ticket to Bliss".  To purchase this particular paper pack, click on the watermark you see below.

Challenges I am hoping to enter...
I hope that you have all enjoyed seeing my little tags.  Now, stay tuned, as I have a little Valentine's Day gift for you that I'm getting ready to post next.

  See you soon!

Wonderful Wednesdays: Tantalizing Tags

Wonderful Wednesdays becomes Terrific Thursday this week.  Life is determined to dump heaps on me all at the same time, yet still expect I perform to current levels.  Life and I need to be having a difficult conversation with each other reeeeaaaal soon.

First off, before I go any further,  I hope that all of my American friends, followers and readers have had a splendidly fantabulous Thanksgiving Day.  By now the lot of you should be stuffed to the gills after overdosing on stuffing and pie, snoozing on the couch or possibly tucked in bed.  I was hoping that I could have created a special Thanksgiving creation for you all, just as an extra special freebie today, but as you can see I haven't even been able to pull off getting the final items of the November kit out until today.  And, on that note, before Terrific Thursday becomes a Fabulous Friday, I better get on with it!!!!!

Tonight, I am presenting some Tantalizing Tags for the final offerings in the November, As the Time Goes By kit, for this year.  I've offered them with the wording and without.  Check them out...

Each tag is in png format and is published at 300 dpi. Credit information for the templates used to create these tags, and for the layer styles, can be found in the credit note below.

I hope you like my final offerings for this month's kit and can find some use for them. If you have missed the previous ones, or if you are new to the site, you can go HERE, and HERE to grab the other items. To find items from previous kits look for Wonderful Wednesdays or look under the individual names of the month, i.e. January Kit in the label section. If you create a project using one of these images or any of the images I create, I'd love to see them and post them into the 'Your Gallery' portion of the blog.

Next month brings with it a whole new theme but you'll have to wait and see what I have planned!  However, I'm pretty sure you have some guesses...

Until next time,
