The 12 Days of Christmas Quest 2019: All Papers Mailed!

Hey folks! I just wanted to pop in and let everyone know that I have finally wrapped up everything related to the The 12 Days of Christmas.

Here are the stats for this past year:
  • a total of 11 people participated during at least two days of the event.
  • 10 people completed all 12 Days of the quest.
  • One person got four of the days complete.
While the overall stats were down from last year, more people overall completed the entire quest. Last year we had a total of 15 participants but only nine of them completed the full quest, with the remaining six people completing anywhere from two to eleven of the days.

Thanks so much for sharing a little about yourself as a designer this year. I learned some fun facts and got a glimpse into tools that I've never heard of, and found some new ideas and stores to explore.

As far as the set goes, here is the preview for it which I've also added to my designs preview page...

If you didn't get the chance to join in the quest but happen to be interested in purchasing this set, just leave a comment to let me know and I'll get it uploaded to the Scribbles Designs Store.

The papers have now been mailed out to all those who participated in the quest. If it happens that you participated during any of the days but have yet to receive your papers, be sure to leave me a comment to let me know and I'll resend them.

The Christmas Quest is finished for another year. For those of you who participated, I truly hope that you enjoyed yourself and I hope to see you again next year. For those of you who weren't able to join in, I hope that you will be able to find the time to do so next year. The quest always runs to about the middle of Jan to ensure that everyone has time to complete it. However, if there are some people out there that would like to see it extended for an additional week to help give them the time to participate, then let me know and I'll consider it.

Well my friends, I hope that you are doing well and avoiding all the viruses out there, especially that new scary Corona virus. If you live in the northern hemisphere, I hope that you are staying warm as well. If you live in the southern hemisphere, I hope it doesn't get too warm. For those living in Australia and battling fires in your area, my heart and prayers go out to you.

I should be be back in a couple of weeks with my latest Pattie's Creation project so I'll see you again then!

Until next time,

Time is Running Out to Complete The 12 Days of Christmas Quest!

Hello there folks. I hope that you are all doing well on this tenth day of the first month of the year! I am just popping in to remind you that you still have until the end of day on Sunday (Jan. 12th) to get your TASKS submitted for this year's 12 Days of Christmas which officially ran from Dec. 25th to Jan. 5th. As that 12 day period was a busy time for people I extended the deadline date by a week.

11 people participated this year with the majority completing the entire quest! It was nice to see some familiar faces play along and a couple new ones as well! I really hope to be able to send out the papers very soon. I have finished compiling all the stats and have gathered all the email addresses that I need as well. Thankfully, I compiled each individual day's credit info at the time that I created the corresponding paper so it is just a matter of putting it all together into one document for the full kit. As soon as I find a few moments to get that done, I'll be able to send out the kit to those who participated the entire 12 days of the quest.

If you are just hearing about the quest and you want a chance to earn up to 12 digi papers, be sure to get your TASKS submitted by 11:59 p.m. EST, Jan 12, 2020. There are a couple of you who have completed almost the full set but just missed a day or two so if you thought that you had completed the entire quest and would like to make certain you got all 12 days finished, be sure to scroll through the posts and check the comment section.

Here is a preview of the full set of papers:

Remember, you don't have to participate every day. If there is just one or two particular papers that you'd like, you only need to complete the tasks for those days. To see the specific digi paper up for grabs each of the 12 Days, and find out the other details you need to join the quest, you can click on the links below:

Until then, stay safe and happy crafting!

The 12 Days of Christmas Quest: Day Twelve

Well folks, the final day of Christmas is here! I really hope that you have enjoyed the quest during these last 12 days. Thanks to those of you who decided to play along this year! I plan to start sending out the papers to all the people who played this year, some time in the next week. Your patience, as always, is appreciated. And of course you still have a full week to get your TASKS completed and added so there is still lots of time to play.

If you missed day one click HERE to start from the beginning and read all the details.

As a quick refresher, each day during the 12 Days of Christmas (Dec. 25th to Jan. 5th), you'll have been given a task to follow. Each day during the last 12 days, I've been asking you questions to find out a little bit more about you as a designer. I have given you the option of leaving your daily answer in a comment on the post for each respective day. If you follow the instructions for each day, you'll earn a free digital paper.

Since this is a busy time of year for most people, you will have plenty of time to complete the quest. While the quest officially ends today with the 12th paper, you still have until January 12th, 2020, to submit the answers for ALL the TASKS. You will qualify to receive paper(s) for whichever day(s) you participate.

Here is the final paper up for grabs in this year's quest...

This paper is 3600 x 3600 pixels, in jpg format and published at 300 dpi. Credits include: Architekt_AT (via Creative Fabrica), Poppymoon Design (via The Hungry JPEG), FEINGOLD Design Agency (via Deal Jumbo) and Type and Graphics Lab (via Design Cuts). In the zip folder that will be emailed should you successfully complete the quest, you will find a copy of the paper, its preview sheet, the credit information and my terms of use which are standard to all my folders.

Play along each of the 12 days and you'll earn yourself the full set! So, how about we get started with today's clue!!!

On the twelfth day of Christmas,
it is time to earn your very last one.
I hope that the quest was worth it,
and if nothing else, you've had a little fun!!!

Task:
Today's task is a bit different. Today I want you to tell me the name of your THREE FAVOURITE DIGI PAPERS FROM THOSE PRESENTED DURING THE QUEST. You can click the links above to see each of the different papers offered if you need to refresh yourself as to what they look like.

So I'm obviously a bit biased on this one since I made them and they are ALL my babies! 😉 However if I have to choose, I will say that my favourite paper from this year is the Wintry Houses one I'm offering today. It is also the paper that is the most intricate and took me the longest to create--close to 3 and 1/2 hrs! It is now after 10 p.m. and my poor hubby is still waiting for supper due to how long it took! For the other two I'll say Rudolph Tangled in Lights from Day 8 and yesterday's Snowman paper. I found some fun images in my collection this year and hope that you all like what I've come up with!

When you come up with a response for today's task letting me know your THREE FAVOURITE DIGI PAPERS FROM THIS YEAR'S QUEST, simply leave your choices in a comment on THIS POST. Now for many of you, especially those who have played in previous years, the odds are that I should have your e-mail address in order to send out the free paper you earn. If you are new to the quest or are not sure whether I might have your email address, please be sure to also leave your email address in your comment. If you would prefer to keep your address private, then check out the bottom paragraph from Day 1 for how to send it to me.

Thank you again to those individuals who joined in the quest these past twelve days. Please be sure to follow me so you don't miss any future freebies! You never know when the next one will be offered!

Cheers and best wishes for the year ahead!

On the eleventh day of Christmas,
it is time to earn paper number eleven.
It is a very well know fact that, all good designers
and card makers go to heaven!!!

Task:
IF YOU HAD A $25 GIFT CERTIFICATE TO SPEND IN ANY ONE ONLINE DIGI STORE, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY?

If I'd asked this question even four months ago, the answer would have been an immediate: A Day for Daisies. However, since that store is no longer open, I'd have to say that I'd choose...oh damn, this is tough...umm...I have two right at the forefront of my mind but if I can only choose one I'll say: Bugaboo Stamps. I currently have over 30 items on my Bugaboo wishlist so it would be nice to be able to get a few of them stricken off that particular list. Jodie just has so many stinkin' cute stamps that are really versatile as well.

When you come up with a response for today's task, simply leave your ONE ONLINE DIGI STORE CHOICE WHERE YOU COULD EASILY SPEND $25 AT in a comment on THIS POST.

May the happiness you experienced during the holidays, last the whole year through! See you all tomorrow for day number twelve, the final day!!!

Cheers!

On the tenth day of Christmas,
it is time to earn paper number ten.
I'm running out of things to say, so I'll just say,
good tidings to all animals, children,

women & men!!!

Task:
Do you have any FAVOURITE STAMPS (whether digi or otherwise), DIGI PAPERS, PATTERNED PAPER PACK, BORDERS, PUNCHES, EMBOSSING FOLDERS, DIE CUT TEMPLATES, ETC. THAT YOU GO BACK TO OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

For myself, this is a bit harder to answer since I'm not making any cards by hand at the moment. In terms of my digi cards I have a couple go to patterns that I will use for certain elements like my sky and clouds background or my grass backgrounds. I probably also rely heavily on several digi sentiments that I've picked up over the years from Create With TLC! Paulette has so many wonderful sentiment stamps that I definitely rely on over and over again.

When you come up with a response for today's task, simply leave your FAVOURITE REPEATEDLY USED RESOURCES in a comment on THIS POST. Now for many of you, especially those who have played in previous years, the odds are that I should have your e-mail address in order to send out the free paper you earn. May your travels this year be safe ones! See you all tomorrow for day number eleven!!!

On the ninth day of Christmas,
it is time to earn paper number nine.
We're nine days in, just three more to go,
All in all, I think it is going just fine!!!

Task:
What are your FAVOURITE STORES TO PURCHASE CARD MAKING SUPPLIES FROM?

Unfortunately, I'm kinda limited for choices where I live. We really only have one have decent store and that is a Michael's Craft Store. Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely grateful that we even have a Michael's up here but it would be nice sometimes to have different choices. I can get a few general supplies like stickers and ribbon a bit cheaper at our local Dollar Store and I have picked up a thing or two at Walmart in the past as well. For a while there, the workers at Michaels knew my name I was in there so often but with not having time to make many cards in the last two years, I haven't been in a while. Probably a good thing for my pocket book. 😜 I know that there are some online stores but living up in Canada, I'm not about to pay through the roof for duty so for now I'll stick with the few local stores I've got.

When you come up with a response for today's task, simply leave your FAVOURITE CARD MAKING SUPPLIES STORE(S) LIST in a comment on THIS POST.

Wishing you bright days ahead in 2020! See you all tomorrow for day number ten!!!

Cheers!

On the eighth day of Christmas,
it is time to earn paper number eight.
We've been at it a while now, so you'll have to
let me know how I rate!!!

Task:
Every new year we have the chance to grow, develop our skills and be better than the year before, even when it comes to our crafting. What are some of your CARD MAKING OR OTHER DESIGN GOALS FOR 2020? For ex., trying new techniques, stretching yourself to try new styles or card shapes, joining a new team, doing some of your own design work, etc.

I have two simple goals this year. Ultimately, I would simply like to start making cards again. I'm so busy behind the scenes that I am not getting any actual crafting of my own completed anymore so I definitely need to find some time to get some cards created. I also really want to get some more general types of scrapbooking kits made and added to the store. I've spent a fortune in resources the past few years (well a fortune considering our limited budget) and it is time to start putting some of them to use. I'd also like to find the time to get more of the sets I have already made added to the store since I only have a handful listed. I just need more time...as do we all.

When you come up with a response for today's task, simply leave your CARD MAKING OR OTHER DESIGN GOALS FOR 2020 in a comment on THIS POST.

Hope this first day of the year is the start of a fabulous one! See you all tomorrow for day number nine!!!

Cheers!

Happy New Year!
