Card Design: Imagine That...Egg Frog

http://www.imaginethatdigistamp.com/index.html

Good evening all.  I'm still not feeling so hot but given that tomorrow is Easter, I figured I'd better pop in and show you all my final Easter card of the season.  It is also my first Imagine That! Digis by Kris project for April.

Before I get started, I have some important information about the store to share with you.  Due to the new European VAT laws, Kris has spent some time revamping the store so that now there are two sections in which to shop.

PLEASE be sure to enter the appropriate section of the store.  When you arrive at the home page for the store, you will be presented with four different options.  The two main links on the top are for the two separate stores.  The other two links below are for freebies and Kris' free blogwear respectively.  If you reside in the European Union, please be sure to ONLY shop in the store that is for European customers by entering the 'EU SHOP: European Union Customers Only' section.  This is what the link looks like...

You may check out using the store's secure host, however, the EU products will not contain an instant download link. Due to the new rules, Kris will email your products as soon as possible within 24 hours after payment.

For shoppers residing in Canada, the US, Australia, Middle or South America, Africa and all other NON EU countries, you can continue to shop in the regular store and enjoy instant downloading!  Just be sure to enter the 'SHOP: Non EU customers' section.  This is what that link looks like...

There are several stores that have now adopted this system so hopefully you will have no problems adapting to the new procedures.

Now it is time to show you my card and share the details.  Check it out...

General Info:

  • This one is for the hubs.  Now, I'm not going to write my usual warning as I have the feeling that the hubs is safely snoring in the living room and won't be on the laptop at all for the rest of the day.  He has finally had a couple days off from work in a row and he is catching up on some much needed sleep and rest!
  • Well, in the last few weeks, you've seen the Egg Chick, and the Egg Lamb and now it is time to see the adorable Egg Frog.  The only one I didn't get a chance to use was the Egg Bunny!  It too is adorable, it is simply that the hubs is a real frog freak so that is the image I chose for his card.  He is after all French Canadian and the French are associated with frogs. Although, I have absolutely no idea why...but that is a discussion and research for another time.
  • I based my design on a great sketch from From the Heart Stamps for the creation of this card.  I've included the preview of the sketch below.

  • Oh and one last thing, as there are now two sections in the store, I won't be linking the watermarks.  I will instead, use the store images above and link each to its appropriate section in the store.  Hopefully, this will work out.
 FRONT
Digital Image Details:
  • Egg Frog: Hee, hee.  I love this adorable frog.  As usual, I've chosen to work with the coloured version for this project.  For great value be sure to check out the sets in the IT DbyK store.  With one image offered in a variety of styles both coloured and line drawing, plus a choice of sentiments to choose from, you get a significant return for the money you put out.  This set is currently on sale giving you even more value!  Click on the SHOP link if you are a non-EU customer or the EU SHOP link if you reside in the European Union, in order to find this image in the section of the store that you should be shopping in (links are under the set preview).

Digital Sentiment Details:
  • The 'Happy Easter Button' is one of my own.  Although I've adapted the colour for this project, you can find the original four colours created for a Wonderful Wednesday offering back in 2013, by clicking HERE.
Digital Embellishment Details:
  • The frame that I used was created from a template from Sheila Reid, Pixel Scrapper.
  • The strip of paper used as an accent piece is also from the Egg Frog set.  Details and link above.
  • The sky in behind the frog was created using a pattern courtesy of Webtreats, Etc.
  • The grass was created using one of the brushes that comes with Photoshop Elements.

INSIDE

Digital Sentiment Details:
  • This great sentiment is from the Egg Lamb set, another of the new Easter sets.  You can also find this set on sale!  Once again, click on the SHOP link if you are a non-EU customer or the EU SHOP link if you reside in the European Union, in order to find this image in the section of the store that you should be shopping in (links are under the set preview).

OVERALL
Paper Products:
  • Card, image and sentiment base: Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, white.
Digital Paper Products:
  • I've used two digital papers from the Egg Frog set.  Details and link above.
Digital Embellishments:
  • The shape used for matting in behind the sentiment is simply a shape created in Photoshop Elements.
  • The shadows to give each element some depth were created with a layer style from Sheila Reid, Pixel Scrapper.

Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. sending you LOTS of hugs and smiles.
Know you are thought of and prayed for often! I have missed you...
Where does the time go? Just a quick personal note ;) things are good on my end. Kids healthy and doing well... after a month of madness... lol. Flu, dog bites, my mom getting sick, Tommy's boss playing a game of 'surprise... you never know what we'll do next" and all of the things going on in the media with police keeping him stressed... BUT GOD IS GOOD! He has and will bring us through and I am giving him the glory for what he has done and for what he WILL do!

Talk soon I hope...
Have a wonderful week!
