The 12 Days of Christmas Quest: Day Two

Happy Boxing Day!!!

It is the second day of Christmas and it is time to continue the quest. If you missed day one click HERE to start from the beginning and read all the details.

As a quick refresher, each day during the 12 Days of Christmas (Dec. 25th to Jan. 5th), you're going to be given a task to follow. Each day over the next 12 days, I'll be asking you questions to find out a little bit more about you as a designer. You will be able to leave your daily answer in a comment on the post for each respective day. If you follow the instructions for each day, you'll earn a free digital paper.

Since this is a busy time of year for most people, you will have plenty of time to complete the quest. It is completely up to you as to when you submit your answers (daily, all at once at the end, or otherwise). AS LONG AS ALL your TASKS are submitted, no later than January 12th, 2020, then you will qualify to receive the paper(s) for whichever day(s) you participate.

Here is the paper up for grabs today...

This paper is 3600 x 3600 pixels, in jpg format and published at 300 dpi. Credits include: Pixaroma (via Deal Jumbo). In the zip folder that will be emailed should you successfully complete the quest, you will find a copy of the paper, its preview sheet, the credit information and my terms of use which are standard to all my folders.

Play along each of the 12 days and you'll earn yourself the full set! So, how about we get started with today's clue!!!

On the second day of Christmas,
it is time to earn paper number two.
So, follow the steps, leave me your answer,
and I'll get the next paper off to you!!!

Task:
What is your FAVOURITE CARD MAKING STYLE? For ex., shaped cards, clean and simple, shabby chic, digital, eclectic, combination of techniques, etc.

For myself, these days I seem to be into making digital cards. It gives me practice working on my digital colouring skills and other digital techniques. I put as much time into my digital cards as my handmade ones, usually a minimum of two to three hours or more a piece. I envy these people who can pull together a card in under 30 minutes!

When you come up with a response for today's task, simply leave your response in a comment on THIS POST. Now for many of you, especially those who have played in previous years, the odds are that I should have your e-mail address in order to send out the free paper you earn. If you are new to the quest or are not sure whether I might have your email address, please be sure to also leave your email address in your comment. If you would prefer to keep your address private, then check out the bottom paragraph from Day 1 for how to send it to me.

Hope this Boxing Day finds you happy and healthy! See you all tomorrow for day number three!!!

Cheers!

My favourite style of cards is following tutorials for different card folds. I don't always have the time to do this though and often opt for an almost CAS style card.

Fabulous papers, thank you. Not sure if I even answered this one lol, holiday brain fog. Anyways.....my favorite card styles are tunnel cards which I use my Scor-Pal for. I'm sure there are digital cutting files, I just prefer to make them my way.

I'm not sure that I have any one kind of style that I use frequently. I like CAS cards and ones with lots of layers. I love trying new techniques. But one thing that I often come back to is using a sketch. I like using sketches and interpreting things in ways that work for me. So I'm going with sketches as my favorite card making stye.

I like making cards with various techniques on them, i.e. cut outs, printed pictures, mixed media techniques etc. Whatever the mood I am in at the time...........LOL

I tend to make 5 x 7 Clean & Simple cards, but enjoy cards that require some minor engineering to make. I am pushing myself to use card sketches and mediums I generally don't use as a rule. It keeps card making interestings

I'm not entirely sure I have a particular style. I like to use digital stamps, pretty papers and embellishments and glitter.

I am pushing myself to make more male cards as this is something that I struggle with.

Clean and simple. I do not like to many decorations or too busy papers. I sometimes try to use it but then end up not liking my own card.

Well, my style is eclectic. It's whatever I feel like making that day. But more often than not it's clean and layered. Loving these papers! xoxo

I prefer to brayer my cards with acrylic paints. I do not use patterned paper as prefer to create my background with stamps, stencils etc.
