It
is time to post my project for the September, From the Heart Stamps (FTHS)
progressive stamp of the month challenge. In order to enter the progressive challenge, you
must either have received the latest image by having participated in the
previous month or you can buy the stamp for the current month's
challenge. Everyone
who enters and follows the rules is a winner because you
automatically get the stamp for the next month's challenge. Stop by the
site and check out the rules
for yourself. While you are there, have a look around. They have some
really great images.
Here are my card and details. I hope I haven't forgotten anything important...

Thanks for popping by everyone! I hope you enjoyed my card and post. I'll see you again tomorrow when I present the last Beauty of Butterflies post.
Until then,
Here are my card and details. I hope I haven't forgotten anything important...
General Information:
- Once again, I'm working at CAS with this card but I must say, I really had fun with it.
- Also, you will notice that the image has been divided up and I have only used two of the three BirdbrainsTM. Please note that I sought and received permission from Faith, the owner of FTHS, to alter the image. If you wish to do something similar and it isn't in the terms of use, always contact the artist.
FRONT
- The image on the front, Flappy Birthday, is available for purchase over at From the Heart Stamps. Click HERE or on the watermarks below to go to its location in the store. It was coloured in with Copic Markers then fussy cut. I also added a piece of twine that I received as a gift to replace the inked string.
Punch:
- I used a Fiskars punch to achieve the look of the grass. I decided to do two layers in different colours to make it look like there was a bit of depth.
Embellishments:
- The cloud stickers are Sticko brand produced by EK Success and were purchased at Michael's.
INSIDE
- As mentioned in my general notes, the image on the inside is part of the original image in the Flappy Birthday set. It was also coloured in with Copic Markers.
Digital Sentiment Details:
- One of the sentiments available in the Flappy Birthday set.
- This pattern was created with a Goosebumpz embossing folder using my wonderful Big Shot machine.
Lessons Learned:
- Apparently, it is time for me to learn another lesson. I wanted to add some texture to the inside of the card so it wouldn't be so flat looking. Well, I have to figure out which way to position things when embossing to have the embossing show up on the right side. Unfortunately I screwed up with this card. Although, as my husband says, 'who will know'. Well, anyone who knows anything about making cards certainly will. Note to self: Must make sure to send it to someone who doesn't. So, given that it isn't raised properly it is a little hard to see; therefore, here is a close up of the inside. Besides, now you get to see one of the little BirdbrainsTM a bit closer as well. Oh well, at least the back of the card looks beautiful...
Paper Products:
- Card base: Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, Cool Water Collection.
