Card Design: Imagine That...Birthday Bash

Hello and happy Wednesday to all of you out there in blogland.  I'm here today to present my second Imagine That! Digis by Kris project for August.  You are actually going to see a few less creations from me using IT sets but that is only because I am know going to be doing some Coordinating over on the IT blog and will be dedicating a lot of my time to making sure things run smoothly; so, unfortunately that means I will have less time for card making.  But that is perfectly okay.  I seem to have a calling for being able to organize things and it is nice to put those kinds of skills to use to help out a good friend.  I adore Kris and Imagine That and want to do my best to help out the best way I can and help to contribute to the success of this awesome company.

Right now though, it is time to get on with showcasing my latest creation...

General Info:
  • This card has been created 100% digitally and then printed and assembled.
  • All the elements used on my card (image, sentiment, paper, digital embellishments) are from the spectacular Birthday Bash kit.  There are so many fabulous selections available in this kit.  It is one you can use over and over again.  Click on the preview below to find it in the IT store.

  • I have used a Sketch by Carly.  Carly is Kris' daughter and she created a bunch of fabulous sketches and even had her own challenge blog for a while.  You can find most of her sketches in the IT store by clicking on the image below.

FRONT
Digital Image Details:
  • The kit contains a wide variety of fun images I used one of the pre-coloured owl images for the front of my card.  I also used one of the confetti images as a backdrop in behind the image.
Digital Embellishments:
  •  The kit contains a selection of Bingo and brad images.  I used all four of them and just duplicated them making them two different sizes.

INSIDE
 Digital Sentiment Details:
  • One of the many available in the set.

OVERALL
Paper Products:
  • Card base: Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, white.
Digital Paper Products:
  • I used three of the papers from the set.  One for my background, one for my accent and then one for the matting in behind the image and sentiment.
Digital Embellishments:
  • I have created basics shapes in Photoshop Elements in behind the image and sentiment.
  • I have applied shadow layer styles to give each element some depth.  This style is courtesy of Sheila Reid, a designer at Pixel Scrapper.
