As a quick refresher, each day during the 12 Days of Christmas (Dec. 25th to Jan. 5th), you're going to be given a task to follow. I'll be asking you questions to find out how the pandemic has impacted your life over the last year--how it has affected you, what things you've had to do differently, how you've had to adjust your life--that kind of idea. You will be able to leave your daily answer in a comment on the post for each respective day. If you follow the instructions for each day, you'll earn a free digital paper.

Since this is a busy time of year for most people, you will have plenty of time to complete the quest. It is completely up to you as to when you submit your answers (daily, all at once at the end, or otherwise). AS LONG AS ALL your TASKS are submitted, no later than January 12th, 2021, then you will qualify to receive the paper(s) for whichever day(s) you participate.

Here is the paper up for grabs today...

This paper is 3600 x 3600 pixels, in jpg format and published at 300 dpi. In the zip folder that will be emailed should you successfully complete the quest, you will find a copy of the paper, its preview sheet, the credit information and my terms of use which are standard to all my folders.

Play along each of the 12 days and you'll earn yourself the full set! So, how about we get started with today's task?!!

On the eleventh day of Christmas,
it is time to earn paper number eleven.
It is a very well know fact that, all good designers
and card makers go to heaven!!!

Task:
It’s fair to say that 2020 was a year like no other for the world. However, among all the challenges we faced, there were also things worth celebrating. What is ONE celebration from 2020 that is worthy of remembering?

For myself, the one celebration worthy of remembering was my hubby's 70th birthday. It was in April so the big dinner event we were trying to plan went out the door. Hubby is one of those people that if you can't have a party on the actual day, then he doesn't want one at all. Thus, I was left with trying to figure out how to make the day special when we were in the middle of a lock-down. Thankfully, my best friend was available to help out. She made a birthday cake for him and also picked up a 70th birthday banner and some balloons that I put up while he was at work. I was lucky that she had a connection with a local dollar store owner who was willing to open up and do a curbside sale. I also reached out to all of hubby's siblings and asked them to call him on his special milestone birthday. Afterwards, he told me that his day was even more special than if he'd been able to go out and spend the evening at a restaurant with his family members. Thus, it was definitely a highlight from 2020!

When you come up with a response for today's task, simply leave your response in a comment on THIS POST. Now for many of you, especially those who have played in previous years, the odds are that I should have your e-mail address in order to send out the free paper you earn. If you are new to the quest or are not sure whether I might have your email address, please be sure to also leave your email address in your comment. If you would prefer to keep your address private, then check out the bottom paragraph from Day 1 for how to send it to me.

May the happiness you experienced during the holidays, last the whole year through! See you all tomorrow for day number twelve, the final day!!!

Cheers!

Oh pretty red gingham paper Lisa.

This year I can't name one celebration as we had two special Birthdays. One grandbaby turned 5 while the other grandbaby turned 1. Both special, both celebrated much differently than we all had hoped. It turned to more virtual celebrations with the hopes this year will be better.

Hugs, Lori m

Thanksgiving Day. My pop had been in the hospital until the day before. That had made twice for a few days each time. Thankgiving was special this year. Edwina Brown

The one celebration that I can think of was when some face masks my daughter had made arrived in the mail. It meant that after several weeks of lockdown, I could finally go out for some exercise. She hadn't been able to send it to me during lockdown as the postal places were closed. It may seem a small thing but it was huge to me.

The one day that stands out to me was the day that my grown twins, my stepson and my 2 stepdaughters and their families came to the house to celebrate my 73rd birthday. My one stepdaughter is in the Army and is stationed in Germany, so it was nice to see her and her family. She actually came to the states because her grandmother had passed away, but she and her siblings still took the time to come for my birthday. I actually raised them because their real Mom passed away when they were only 4 and 5 years old. My 2 older children do not live around me so they were absent, but they called and sent me flowers. All in all it was a great day!

For me the 75th anniversary of VE day is the best thing we have celebrated this year.

We were in full lockdown in the UK and had a street party, we each did food and ate in our front gardens, the weather was fabulous, we put bunting out and many of us stayed out well into the evening.

There was a real sense of closeness and camaraderie and neighbours became close friends. We have a close bond and all know we have help when we need it for whatever reason.

Another great paper today, Lisa! A day celebration worth remembering: well, we all missed many, didn't we? I actually enjoyed Christmas. I was OK without the usual mad pace and frantic schedule that I keep. It was nice having a meal with just the 2 of us and no commitments.

Hmmm.....That's a tough one. It's been such a quiet year here. I definitely enjoyed our 35th anniversary! Kelly made me a video including lots of past pictures and music! It was such a great present and we shared it with the kids on Christmas. We all enjoyed looking over the past!

My daughter got married! Although she eloped and therefore we were not in attendance, it is for sure the best most positive thing for 2020! We love our new son in law and are thrilled to see them start this new adventure with joy and positivity!

I turned 50 in 2020, which felt appropriate. We weren't able to celebrate with family or friends, par for the course. While it wasn't the most memorable of birthdays based on the activities, I will forever remember that I turned 50 during dreadful 2020... and lived to tell the tale. Lol

What is ONE celebration from 2020 that is worthy of remembering?

Actually have TWO:
1. Our daughter's amazing and perfect wedding on 2-1-20
2. My "Sweet 16th" birthday on 2-29-20 (Leap Year)

Well, my event is similar. It would be the twins 4th birthday in October. This year would have been much more difficult without the joy they bring us whenever we see them. We love to spend time with them and they always make us laugh and smile. There is no better cure to depression for me than my grandchildren!

On September 15th, my husband and I have lived together for 25 years. Due to the pandemic, we couldn't travel or celebrate. We were at home but together and it is worth remembering.

Our Birthdays will always be remembered as we had the phone on the table with whoever wasn't there on video call

I honestly don't have anything to mention. I am thankful I have another year with both of my parents.

We are blessed with an effective Govt who implemented stern Laws and heavy fines to encourage everyone to co-operate to bring down new cases and deaths. I was really encouraged and amazed that everyone is co-operating and today we have almost no new cases daily. Hence our Govt relaxed a little and permitted our dinning out from 5 pax to 8 pax today.
