I'm Sponsoring...The Creative Moments Challenge Blog

http://carabbiemomentsofcraft.blogspot.co.uk/

Oopsies, I thought I had this scheduled to come out yesterday...Apparently not!

It is time to announce my latest sponsorship!  I'm thrilled to once again be sponsoring the fabulous Creative Moments Challenge Blog during 2016.

The current challenge started yesterday and the theme is Anything Goes, with the optional twist of Let it Snow.  The challenge is approximately two weeks long and ends on February 2nd; so, that gives you lots of time to participate.  I had lots of snowy goodies that the team could choose from and I can't wait to see what they came up with!

To keep with the snowy theme I have decided that the winner can choose a total of 30 papers: i.e. two sets of twelve + one set of six; or five sets of six; OR a total of 24 papers and two sentiment sets within the Winter or Christmas theme portion of my Design Preview Page.

I hope that you'll consider playing along in their challenge.  To help provide some incentive, I am offering up a brand new word art freebie that I created for the challenge.  Since the theme is Let it Snow, so is the freebie...

To grab this sentiment click on the download link above to be taken to a download location.  In the zip folder you will find a copy of the sentiment, its preview sheet, the credit information and my terms of use which are standard to all my folders.  This creation is in png format and published at 300 dpi.

You can find out all the details you need to enter the challenge over at the Creative Moments Challenge Blog.  To head to the main challenge blog, click HERE.

Card Design: Scribbles Designs Challenge #37...Have A Heart!

Hello and a very happy Friday to you all.  Today marks the start of the newest challenge over at the Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog.

This time around, for Challenge #37, the theme is Have A Heart!  Do any of you remember the old song by Eddie Fisher called 'Heart'? Of course, I personally wasn't around in 1955 when it came out but I definitely remember it on the airwaves, especially during the old Saturday night radio shows in the 80s that focused on music from the 50s and 60s. The first two lines of the song which are repeated often throughout, are:

"You've gotta have heart, All you really need is heart"

Well, with Valentine's Day around the corner, we thought that this challenge would be the perfect occasion to create a project with a heart or hearts featured in a prominent way. The heart could be the whole image itself, or just part of it, part of the papers you use or they could show up in your embellishments. "You've gotta have heart, All you really need is heart!" We look forward to seeing what form yours takes!

In order to participate in our challenges you DO NOT NEED TO USE A SCRIBBLES DESIGNS IMAGE on your project but you must follow the monthly theme and the other rules that have been established for our particular challenge blog.  You can find them, along with the prize information, listed in the right hand sidebar of the challenge blog.  This challenge will end at 9pm PST on February 14th.

You can purchase your Scribbles Designs images HERE and there is a free image over on the challenge blog as well to help get you started.  Also, be sure to check out the special Freebie Friday posts as it is another great way to build your Scribbles Designs collection.

To help inspire you, I have created a sweet card for my sweet hubby!

Card Design: Pattie's Creations Challenge #118...Fun in the Snow (MUST have SNOW in the IMAGE)

http://pattiescreationschallenge.blogspot.ca

Hello to all you lovely people out there!  I'm here today to announce the next challenge over at Pattie's Creations Design ChallengeThis time around for Challenge #118, the theme is Fun in the Snow. In many parts of North America and other parts of the world, the ground is covered in snow.  In celebration of the winter season, this month we want to see snow somewhere in the actual digital image of your card.  Adding snow papers or extra snowflakes is fine, but in order to qualify for the prize, the image itself must have snow in it.

Here is my card, I hope that I haven't forgotten any important details:

General Info:

  • Okay so I know that Christmas has JUST passed but it is NEVER too early to get a start on next year's Christmas cards so I am doing just that!
  • For the front of my card, I took two of Pattie's fun winter images and merged them together to make a scene.  I just thought they went so well together.  Even the snow mound under the mailbox lined up with the snow mound next to Pattieboop! Then I just duplicated some of the snowflake from one of the images and added them to have a complete snowy scene.

FRONT

Digital Image Details:
  • Pattieboop Winter Snowflakes:  Such a composed young lady. You can find the image in Pattie's Etsy shop by clicking on the name or watermark linked below.

Challenges I am hoping to enter...

You have until February 4th to enter our challenge which should give you lots of time to get a creation done.  Remember the theme is Fun in the Snow but you MUST have SNOW in the IMAGE you use.  I really hope that you will be able to join us. Don't forget that along with all the typical rules that apply to the majority of challenges out there (please click HERE to become familiar with all the rules), you MUST USE A DIGITAL OR STAMPED IMAGE to qualify for the drawing (unless stated otherwise). We would absolutely love to see you use a Pattie's Creations (PC) image on your card, but you are allowed to use other images. If you do use a PC image, you will gain an extra entry in the draw and will have a better chance to WIN! You can enter twice per challenge and of course MUST follow all the challenge requirements that are posted for each challenge. Easy Peasy right!

Pop over to the challenge blog and check out what my fabulous teammates have offered up for inspiration.  Oh and don't forget...Pattie offers up a new freebie the first Friday of the month and it will remain up for approximately two weeks; so, be sure to pop over and check it out as well!

Until next time,
