The 12 Days of Christmas Quest: Day Three

It is the third day of Christmas and it is time to continue the quest. If you missed day one click HERE to start from the beginning and read all the details. Then for day two, click HERE.

As a quick refresher, each day during the 12 Days of Christmas (Dec. 25th to Jan. 5th), you're going to be given a task to follow. Each day over the next 12 days, I'll be asking you questions to find out a little bit more about you as a designer. You will be able to leave your daily answer in a comment on the post for each respective day. If you follow the instructions for each day, you'll earn a free digital paper.

Since this is a busy time of year for most people, you will have plenty of time to complete the quest. It is completely up to you as to when you submit your answers (daily, all at once at the end, or otherwise). AS LONG AS ALL your TASKS are submitted, no later than January 12th, 2020, then you will qualify to receive the paper(s) for whichever day(s) you participate.

Here is the paper up for grabs today...

This paper is 3600 x 3600 pixels, in jpg format and published at 300 dpi. Credits include: Poppymoon Design (via The Hungry JPEG) and Type and Graphics Lab (via Design Cuts). In the zip folder that will be emailed should you successfully complete the quest, you will find a copy of the paper, its preview sheet, the credit information and my terms of use which are standard to all my folders.
Play along each of the 12 days and you'll earn yourself the full set! So, how about we get started with today's clue!!!

On the third day of Christmas,
it is time to earn paper number three.
If you care to share some more with me,
you'll earn another paper for free!!!

Task:
What are YOUR THREE FAVOURITE TOOLS for making cards?

For myself, while I don't get to use tools very often because I just don't have the time, if I could use them more often, there are three that I would definitely break out and use. The first one would be my Cricket Electronic Cutter. It is a very basic machine but you can get some fun shapes out of it to add to cards and some simple card shapes as well. My second would be my Big Shot Embosser that someone gave to me as a gift since I love texture on cards. Finally, I guess it would be the envelope maker that my hubby got me. It is perfect for those odd shaped envelopes that I need every so often.

When you come up with a response for today's task, simply leave the list of YOUR THREE FAVOURITE TOOLS in a comment on THIS POST. Now for many of you, especially those who have played in previous years, the odds are that I should have your e-mail address in order to send out the free paper you earn. If you are new to the quest or are not sure whether I might have your email address, please be sure to also leave your email address in your comment. If you would prefer to keep your address private, then check out the bottom paragraph from Day 1 for how to send it to me.

Hope this third day after Christmas finds you still thinking merry thoughts! See you all tomorrow for day number four!!!

Cheers!

Definitely I need my die cut machine because I use die cuts on almost every card I make. I have a Spellbinder's Grand Calibur and I like that it cuts larger plates. I recently won a gift certificate to Simon Says and used it to buy a Tim Holtz Glass Multimedia Matt that I use as my work surface. It;s great for mixing inks and water coloring but also has measurement line so I don;t have to grab my ruler as often. I also use it to line up elements on my card so they are straight (usually!). The third one would be my heat embossing gun. I like to heat emboss smaller size sentiments under a larger die cut word(s) so my heat embossing gun is essential!
forgot my email on the first two but I think you know where to find me :) drinckel3 at gmail dot com

Another cute paper! My three most favorite tools -- my bone folder, my tape runner, and my Big Shot. There, that was easier than I thought!

My Tim Holtz clear acrylic ruler, my paper cutter and my iphone. That was tough to list only 3 because there are 3 others almost as indispensable to me.
