Freebie: Happy Hallowe'en

While I am aware that some of you do not celebrate Hallowe'en, it has always been one of my favourite occasions. Did you know that the word Hallowe'en dates back to around 1745 and is of Christian origin? The word "Halloween" means "hallowed evening" or "holy evening" and it comes from a Scottish term for All Hallows' Eve (the evening before All Hallows' Day) (Wikepedia).

There is so much incredible history wrapped up into Hallowe'en and while I was hoping to have time to share some of it with you this year, I've run out of time again. Maybe next year!

Anyway, here is the preview for today's freebie...

This digital paper is 3600 x 3600 pixels, in jpg format and published at 300 dpi. I've used resources from Unsplash (Pixabay), Виталий Смолыгин (Public Domain Pictures), Designious (Inky Deals, HG Designs and the The Coffee Shop BlogFull credits in the file. To grab it, click the download button to be taken to a download location. In the zip folder you will find a copy of the paper, its preview sheet, the full credit information and my terms of use which are standard to all my folders.

Goodness there is so much going on tomorrow but I don't think I'll get a chance to get it all done especially since I've a dreaded dental appt. tomorrow afternoon. Wish me luck!

Until next time,

Scribbles Designs October 28th Freebie: Spider Smiling

Hey everyone!  I'm popping in to let you know that a new Freebie Friday Image is available, over at the Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog. This week there is a creepy Smiling Spider available for download. Now, I don't know about you, but I'm really creeped out by spiders, Like SERIOUSLY CREEPED OUT! In fact, I even had to shy my eyes from this week's freebie lest I have nightmares. So given my aversion to the creepy crawly, there was no way I was able to make a sample using it. If YOU are brave enough, I invite you to go and download it.

Don't forget to mark your calendars every Friday to head on over to the Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog to grab the latest freebie up for grabs. You can find Spider Smiling from October 28th's post HERE. Alternatively, you can find it in the store
HERE. It is a great way to add to your SD digi stamp collection. Remember, when you use an SD image on a project that you enter into our monthly challenges, you get extra entries! That is a great incentive to use one of Sandy's images.

Well that is it for this post. I hope to see you again soon!

Until next time,

Card Design: Scribbles Designs Challenge #46...Fabulous Fall

Hello and a very happy Saturday to you all. Today marks the start of the newest challenge over at the Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog. While, I'm running rather late in the day, at least it is still the same day for this particular post.

This time around, for Challenge #46, the theme is Fabulous Fall!
Here in many parts of North America and in other locations throughout the world, fall is officially upon us. This is such a fabulous time of year. First, not only are we able to enjoy the splendour of autumn with fun activities such as: jumping in piles of leaves, picking apples in the local orchard then making home-made cider and pies, going for walks in the woods to see the beautiful colours of the leaves as they change, picking pine cones and attending harvest fests; there is also the wonder and fun of Hallowe'en to explore: making home-made costumes, bobbing for apples, costume pageants, parties and more. Additionally, while Thanksgiving has just passed for those of us in Canada, it has yet to hit in the US. With all these wonderful events taking place, the fall provides a bounty of ideas to choose from. So, for this challenge create a project that focuses on one or more of the many aspects of fall. Allow the beauty of the season to shine through in your creation. Whether you decide to create a Thanksgiving card, a Hallowe'en one, or just a card celebrating the splendour of the season, we leaf it up to you!

In order to participate in our challenges you DO NOT NEED TO USE A SCRIBBLES DESIGNS IMAGE on your project but you must follow the monthly theme and the other rules that have been established for our particular challenge blog. You can find them, along with the prize information, listed in the right hand sidebar of the challenge blog. This challenge will end at 9pm PST on November 14th.

You can purchase your Scribbles Designs images HERE and there is a free image over on the challenge blog as well to help get you started. Also, be sure to check out the special Freebie Friday posts as it is another great way to build your Scribbles Designs collection.
