Card Design: Scribbles Designs Challenge #38...Freebie Friday Challenge

Hello and a very happy Monday to you all.  Today marks the start of the newest challenge over at the Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog.

This time around, for Challenge #38, the theme is Freebie Friday Challenge!
This month will mark the 2nd year anniversary of the popular Freebie Friday on the Scribbles Design Challenge Blog. Over the last two years Sam and Sandy and recently now Lisa, have hosted this special weekly post giving out approximately 105 freebies!!! Of course that isn't including the freebies that Sandy generously gives out each month when a new challenge starts. So, for this challenge we want you to create a project that includes a past Scribbles Designs Freebie Friday image. To find them all, simply check out the archives and look for the title 'Freebie Friday' each month. Most tell you what the nature of the freebie is right in the title of the post. For example, the post from last Friday is called "Freebie Friday: Hugs Digi Paper". You can also find past Freebie Friday images by clicking on Freebie Friday in the label section. If you are new to the challenge blog this is a great opportunity to go through some past posts and start your Scribbles Designs stash. We can't wait to see what you create but don't forget to tell us which past Freebie Friday image you have used somewhere in your post.

Generally, in order to participate in our challenges you do not need to use a Scribbles Designs image on your project.  HOWEVER for this challenge, due to the nature of the challenge you must use an SD image, specifically a past Freebie Friday image, as that is our theme this month.  Additionally, you need to follow all the other rules that have been established for our particular challenge blog.  You can find them, along with the prize information, listed in the right hand sidebar of the challenge blog.  This challenge will end at 9pm PST on March 14th.

The Freebie that I have chosen to work with is from the most recent Freebie Friday post--the Hugs Digi Paper.

You can find this freebie on the challenge blog or also in the store by clicking HERE.

I have chosen to pair it with another of Sandy's great images...

Free Digi Paper available at Scribbles Designs

Hey peeps!  I'm just popping in to let you know that the latest freebie is available over on the Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog for all of our Freebie Fridayer fans!

Since Valentine's Day is just two days away, we have decided to stick with one last 'love' themed freebie.  Although today's freebie is just a bit different as it is a digi paper made with one of Sandy's previous freebies.

Back in May of last year, Sandy offered up a wonderful HUGS sentiment as a freebie and I have included it in the Freebie Friday post as well just in case there are new readers who may not have it yet. You can find both the original free sentiment and the paper you see below in the preview, by clicking HERE.  The original sentiment can also be found in the store HERE.

I haven't created anything lately under the Scribble Doodle Designs label so I thought this was the perfect time to do so.  This free paper is six inches by six inches (1800 pixels x 1800 pixels)--the perfect size for card making!  As mentioned above, you can download it over on the challenge blog as today's Freebie Friday offering.

Don't forget to mark you calendars every Friday to head on over to the Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog to grab the latest freebie up for grabs.  You can find the original HUGS sentiment and the digi paper from Feb. 12th's post HERE.  It is a great way to add to your SD digi stamp collection and to your Scribble Doodles Designs collection.  Don't forget, that when you use an SD image on a project that you enter into our monthly challenges, you get extra entries!  That is a great incentive to use one of Sandy's images.

Well that is it for this post.  Once again it is a busy weekend filled with lots to do behind the scenes so I hope to see you again soon.

Until next time,

Card Design: Scribbles Designs Challenge #37 Midway Point...Have A Heart!

Hello and happy February first! It is a busy day for me and right now it is time for the midway for the latest Scribbles Designs Challenge to get started.

There are two whole weeks left for you to come on over and enter.   In case you've missed it, the theme this time around for Challenge #37, is Have A Heart
Do any of you remember the old song by Eddie Fisher called 'Heart'? Of course, I personally wasn't around in 1955 when it came out but I definitely remember it on the airwaves, especially during the old Saturday night radio shows in the 80s that focused on music from the 50s and 60s. The first two lines of the song which are repeated often throughout, are:

"You've gotta have heart, All you really need is heart"

Well, with Valentine's Day around the corner, we thought that this challenge would be the perfect occasion to create a project with a heart or hearts featured in a prominent way. The heart could be the whole image itself, or just part of it, part of the papers you use or they could show up in your embellishments. "You've gotta have heart, All you really need is heart!" We look forward to seeing what form yours takes!

Entering is super simple!  You do not need to use a Scribbles Designs image; however, if you do, your name gets entered into the draw twice.  You can purchase your Scribbles Designs images HERE or you can also find one for a limited time on the challenge blog HEREAlso, be sure to check out our special Freebie Friday posts as it is another great way to build your Scribbles Designs collection.  You can find the rest of the rules and information regarding winners in the sidebar on the challenge blog.  You have until 9pm PST on February 14th to come over and play with us.
