Card Design: Fresh Brewed Designs DT Post for October

It is the second Saturday in October and that means I have the pleasure of bringing you my latest card showcasing an image from Fresh Brewed Designs (FBD).  It is also time for another Christmas card and this time I've gone with the very first image I ever picked up from FBD--Hello Winter

Check out this sweet little winter elf.  She is all set to get those Christmas elves in line and geared up for the big day.  She also doubles for the flight ground staff if someone is away to help marshal in Santa's sleigh on the return home.  She is very versatile and her efficiency would probably get your Christmas card list organized in no time at all.

Here are my cards and details, I hope I haven't forgotten anything...

FRONT
Digital Images:
  • Hello Winter:  This image is currently available in the FBD store.  You can find it by clicking on the image name or watermark above.
  • I coloured it in with Copics.  Skin: E000, E00, E02, R20.  Outfit:  G00, G02, G05, shoes also have G09 but no G00; N0, C1.  Hair: Y11, Y13, Y15.  Ground: W3, W5, W7. Colourless Blender and W1 to ground image.
  • I also used iridescent glitter glue on the hat and areas of the dress.
Embellishments:
  • Red sparkly ribbon is Celebrate It! brand from Michael's.
  • The little snowflakes were picked up at Dollarama.

INSIDE
Digital Sentiments:
  • One I created but haven't released yet.

OVERALL

Paper Products:
  • Card base: Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, white.
  • Designer Papers:
    • The red and white checkerboard paper (front and inside) is from Recollection's Bright Christmas paper pad.
    • The red cardstock used as matting (front and inside) is Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, red.

Well that is it for my monthly FBD post.  I'll be back each 2nd Saturday of the month with another creation to show you.  Of course, I'll also probably be showing off other images and/or creations using Fresh Brewed Designs images during other times of the month as well, so you'll want to keep checking to make sure you don't miss any of Heather's superb images.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.  I hope you have the chance to go and check out Hello Winter along with all the other great images to get you started on those Christmas cards that you have been putting off.

Hi Lisa: First, I LOVE the image beside your name! It so resembles the joy of you (and you got the hair style so like yours and the gorgeous eyes!!! It is so cute to have an image beside your name...I've never seen that on anyone's blog before. You are such a trailblazer my friend. Your card is so cute and I love your sentiment. It is always beyond me how you do the lovely artistic things around your words - I love the circles. You are immensely talented on the computer; I wish I lived closer to you - I'd encourage you to teach a course, but of course with which time, you are so busy giving to others and highlighting everyone else's company and promoting everyone else, and treating your own design team (ahem) like gold! The "flight attendant" is just adorable. I love how you describe her - that is so precious and funny! You are also a wonderful story teller. I just realized that in this moment. I don't know how I missed that before. My Gosh Lisa, you are so multi talented and this post shows that in living color!!! Fresh Brewed Designs is SO FORTUNATE to have you and to have you promoting their images. You have done them good!!! Cheers to you Lisa. Samara xox
