Motivational Monday: A Season of Mixed Emotions

If you are new to my blog and would like to know why I started Motivational Mondays, please go HERE.

Hello to all my wonderful friends, followers, readers and anyone who just happened to stumble across my blog today.  I hope that you are all doing well on this Monday evening.  The theme this month, over at the Path of Positivity is JOY.  Thus, I am going to share over here the reflection that I have included as part of the midway post over on my challenge blog.  So, if you are in the habit of checking in over there as well, you'll be able to skip the top half of that post.

So, on with today's thoughts...

 A Season of Mixed Emotions

It seems that in a very short period of time, the new year will be upon us. How has your holiday season been so far? Did you slow down enough to actually enjoy it? Did you find some quiet time to sit and meditate on what the new year may bring? For most of us, this is a time of great joy as we prepare for and commemorate the many religious holidays and other winter celebrations that the season brings with it. However, there are some who find this time of year extremely difficult.   For anyone who has lost a loved one, for anyone who is dealing with depression, for anyone who is separated from family for one reason or another, for anyone who is lost or alone, the holiday season can be extremely difficult to get through.  Even people who are in a good place in their lives can find the holidays difficult due to the enormous stress that they manage to heap on themselves to ensure that this time of year is special for everyone around them.  So while joy may be the prevalent feeling among most, we need to remember that there are some individuals out there who may be experiencing other feelings.

However, the wonderful thing about the internet is that you are never truly alone. If you are reading this then you are connected to me and I to you.  Support is just a keyboard click away.  If you are one of those individuals finding this time of the season difficult please reach out to family, friends or community resources. You don’t need to deal with your anxieties by yourself.  Take a moment to try and surround yourself with joyful activities or fun filled moments to help lift you back up.  One way to help you re-find your positivity would be to and check out the wonderful creations made by team members and entrants alike over at the Path of Positivity.  Hopefully, you will something to help you rediscover a little bit of joy.

Most importantly, know that you are not alone.  There is a whole community of people over there to inspire your joy to reemerge once again.

I invite you to go and check out, not only, the wonderful creations some members of my Design Team had the opportunity to create over on the Path of Positivity (click HERE for the midway) but also some of the great entries into this month's challenge (click HERE for the challenge).  I also invite you to come over and enter a project yourself, if you haven't already.

To further inspire you, I am offering up a free motivational quote on joy for you to download as well.  I'm going to include it here too...

Now, since I am not sure how many of you visit the Path of Positivity and download the sentiments I offer up at the start of the challenge, I am going to include that one here as well...

...AND since it is the season of giving and I've been neglecting you guys rather sorely, here are two more joy themed freebie for you.  They are based on one that I had created last year, I just added some words to make it an actual phrase instead of simply the word of joy.  Given that not everyone celebrates Christmas, I made up two different versions for you to choose from.  Of course you can have both if you'd like...

During a time when stress is as common as the feeling of joy, please try to find some time to just breath.  Given everything I still have to accomplish in the next six days, I need to be taking a bit of my own advice.

Until next time,
Credit Notes For This Creation:

Lisa, I miss my e-mail updates. I wish they would start back, I don't know why I can't get them any more. I have that trouble on other sites too. Oh well, that is life.
I love these sentiments. They are wonderful. I got a card ready for the Path of Positivity. I hope to post it tonight or tomorrow. Actually it is tomorrow. So later today after I get some sleep.
Joy is something everyone wants and I hope most people have. There is joy in most things in life. We just have to look for it. Thanks for sharing. Edwina Brown
