Card Design: From the Heart Stamps April Challenge

http://fromtheheartstamps.com/community/blog/

Hello everyone!  Goodness, with how sick I was during the first half of April, I was really worried I wouldn't get my progressive cards done this month along with a set of papers for a challenge I'm sponsoring.  Although I've had to stay up until midnight every night for the last week, at least I managed to get my progressive cards done!  The first one is for the From the Heart Stamps (FTHS) progressive stamp of the month challenge.

In order to enter the FTHS progressive challenge, you must either have received the latest image by having participated in the previous month or you can buy the stamp for the current month's challenge.  Everyone who enters and follows the rules is a winner because you automatically get the stamp for the next month's challenge.  Stop by the site and check out the rules for yourself.  While you are there, have a look around.  They have some really awesome images.

Free Digi Paper available at Scribbles Designs

Hey peeps!  I'm just popping in to let you know that the latest freebie is available over on the Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog for all of our Freebie Fridayer fans!

The snow is FINALLY all gone here where I live so I am hoping that that is a sure sign that spring is around the corner.  To celebrate I created a digi paper made with one of Sandy's previous freebies.

Back in March of 2014, Sandy offered up this lovely flower as a freebie and I have included it in the Freebie Friday post as well just in case there are new readers who may not have it yet. You can find both the original image AND the paper you see below in the preview, by clicking HERE.  The original image can also be found in the store HERE.

Another creation under the Scribble Doodle Designs label!  This free paper is six inches by six inches (1800 pixels x 1800 pixels)--the perfect size for card making!  It is in jpg format and published at 300 dpi. Credits include:  The CoffeeShop Blog and diza-74 (Deviant Art); and of course, Scribbles Designs.  As mentioned above, you can download it over on the challenge blog as today's Freebie Friday offering.

Don't forget to mark you calendars every Friday to head on over to the Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog to grab the latest freebie up for grabs.  You can find the original image and the digi paper from April 29th's post HERE.  It is a great way to add to your SD digi stamp collection and to your Scribble Doodles Designs collection.  Don't forget, that when you use an SD image on a project that you enter into our monthly challenges, you get extra entries!  That is a great incentive to use one of Sandy's images.

Well that is it for this post.  It is our 27th wedding anniversary today so it is time to go and spend some time with the hubby.

Until next time,

This week there is a cute and Funky Flower available for download.  And there is also a similar one that was posted last week.  Since I was so sick and unable to get last week's Freebie Friday post ready, Sandy filled in for me and posted it.

Well that is it for this post.  Time to get working on catching up on everything I got behind on including getting my two progressive cards done by the end of the month.  I'm going to need all the luck I can manage to get things done this month.

Freebie Alert: Happy Birthday to Me & My Hubs!

Hey everyone.  Sorry I have been MIA but I'm just getting back on my feet after succumbing to a rather nasty virus.  Normally each year on my birthday I give out a freebie to help celebrate.  As you have learned by now, special occasions for me and my family members, mean presents for YOU! However, this week since I'm still not feeling great, I wasn't ready with a freebie on Tuesday.  So, today I'll be offering up two because today is my hubby's birthday and of course that also means a free paper in honour of his special day.

Without this man by my side I'd be lost.  He is my entire world and I love him dearly.  Thus, I want to wish my amazing hubby a very happy birthday in honour of this special day.

I decided to make a matching set of birthday owl papers--one paper suitable for girls and the other for boys.  Check them out...

These digital papers are 3600 x 3600 pixels, in jpg format and published at 300 dpi. I've used resources from Point and Poem.  To grab them, click the download button to be taken to a download location.  In the zip folder you will find a copy of the two papers, their preview sheet, the full credit information and my terms of use which are standard to all my folders.

Come back later this morning for links to two other freebies from Scribbles Designs.  Me?  I plan to spend the entire evening with my dear love.

Until next time,

Scribbles Designs April 8th Freebie

Hey peeps!  I'm afraid I don't have a project to share with you today.  My hubby and I share everything and unfortunately, that includes germs.  He brought home a rather nasty virus last week and of course I had to get it as well.   But, I do still want to let you know that a new Freebie Friday Image is available, over at the Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog. This week there is an adorable Honey Pot available for download.

Don't forget to mark your calendars every Friday to head on over to the Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog to grab the latest freebie up for grabs. You can find the Honey Pot from April 8th's post HERE.  Alternatively, you can find it in the store HERE.  It is a great way to add to your SD digi stamp collection.  Remember, when you use an SD image on a project that you enter into our monthly challenges, you get extra entries!  That is a great incentive to use one of Sandy's images.

Well that is it for this post.  I need to get working on some other posts.  Unfortunately, being sick doesn't reduce my workload!

Until next time,

Card Design: Scribbles Designs Freebie Friday Inspiration + Challenge #39 Midway Reminder

Today I have a two in one post for you.  Not only is it Friday and time for some Freebie Friday inspiration over at the Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog, but today also marks the midway for our current challenge.

First up here is a refresher on what our challenge is all about...

There are two whole weeks left for you to come on over and enter.   In case you've missed it, the theme this time around for Challenge #39, is A Song in My Heart!  Have you ever had a song stuck in your head? I certainly have. It happens all the time to me. In fact, the 'you've got to have heart' song from the January challenge is STILL rattling around in my poor brain. This challenge we have decided that we would like to see a project based on a song. Whether it is based on the title of the song or some of the lyrics, that is totally up to you. Show us the song in your heart and the melody of your soul! Don't forget to let us know the name of the song that inspired you somewhere in your post. We look forward to singing along with you and getting more songs stuck in our heads.

Entering is super simple!  You do not need to use a Scribbles Designs image; however, if you do, your name gets entered into the draw twice.  You can purchase your Scribbles Designs images HERE or you can also find one for a limited time on the challenge blog HEREAlso, be sure to check out our special Freebie Friday posts as it is another great way to build your Scribbles Designs collection.  You can find the rest of the rules and information regarding winners in the sidebar on the challenge blog.  You have until 9pm PST on April 14th to come over and play with us.

Now talking about Freebie Friday posts...

This time around we're offering up a cute little butterfly (#F1112)--perfect to help start getting us in the mindset of spring for those of us on the northern side of the equator!  You can find the freebie over in my Freebie Friday post by clicking HERE or this image can also be found in the store HERE.

General Info:

  • This card has been created 100% digitally and then layered in a poster mockup (courtesy of Design Bolts).  I will print it out and assemble it a later date.
