Welcome To My New Blog...

Less than 10 days into my blogging career and I'm already having to change how I do things.  If any of you have come over from my original site, I'm so glad you have found me here.  If you are new to my posts, then a big welcome.  However you got here, I am just so very happy that you came!

I recently created my own website where I wanted to display card designs, nail art, and other creative endeavors.  I also wanted to have a place where I could share digi stamps that I plan on creating.  While I'll have the occasional freebie sentiment available for you to download in the near future, I'm afraid that it will be awhile before I am able to offer other digi stamp designs.  That will be a work in progress lined up behind everything else I have on my plate right now. Let's just add that to my list of future goals...

Anyways,  if you have visited my old blog, you might have noticed how basic things were.  There were just too many things that I couldn't do...
  • I wanted to have followers--the best I could offer was a mailing list to let people know when I'd posted something new.
  • I wanted to add a field in the comments section for people to add their email address and/or website address if they wanted--couldn't do that.
  • I had someone request that I turn of 'word verification' because she was afraid that I would lose out on a lot of comments otherwise--couldn't do that either.
  • There was no way to create a post archive so if someone wanted to go back to a post from a couple of weeks ago, they had to keep hitting the 'previous comment' button.
  • There was no way to do a search within my blog.
  • There was no way to create labels to make it easier for people to navigate through the site.
And the list goes on...

Suffice it to say, I came to the conclusion earlier this evening that if I wanted to create a place where people were able to navigate through the site much easier, I needed to find a new location for my blog.

So, voila!  I have a new home on BloggerTM.  I still have my old website and I'll preface the existing blog over there with a link to my new home over here.  This way, anybody who wants to continue to check out new posts can start following me here but I'll still have a place to keep my image galleries.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon.

Until next time,

Good luck with your blog. I'm glad you're telling us about the difficulties. I visit so many blogs and I think we take them for granted, even though we know it's a lot of work. I clicked on the link by your name from over at I Like Markers. I hate the word verification! I understand why it's there, but sometimes a robot would do better than I do, which is why my comment ended up twice on the marker site. I think many people try to comment, get frustrated and just stop. I hope this gives you a little encouragement.

Nice change Lisa! Very pretty, I really like your colors.

I looked at the card you made for your husband on your website and liked it very much! I didn't see the place to put a comment so I'm putting it here.

I'm in agreement with Diane on the work verification!

Hugs, Lyn

Thanks for the compliment and for all the comments you left. It feels good to know that people are thankful for the 'gifts' I'm offering. Also, thanks so much for becoming a follower. I hope you continue to enjoy my posts.
