Scribbles Designs Challenge #22 Midway Point

It is the first of November.  Boy, I swear it was the first of October just yesterday, before you know it, December will be here and then it will a whole new year.  Arrrrrrggggghhhhhh!  Seriously, I swear the older I get, the more time speeds up on me.  The absolute worst part is that the dreaded white stuff has arrived.  In fact, it actually showed up early yesterday morning.  I think it was one of the reasons why we only had a handful of kids come to the door for Hallowe'en.  Unfortunately, it was just too cold for the littlest spooks to make an appearance.  However, chin up!  Neither situation is in my control (time or weather) which is difficult for a control freak, but I must weather the situation (no pun intended) and deal with it all in stride and with a positive attitude.  Yup, I'm going to keep saying that until I believe it.  Now on to the real reason for this post!

Today also marks the midway of the latest Scribbles Designs Challenge.

There are two whole weeks left for you to come on over and enter. In case you've missed it, the theme this month for Challenge #22, is Fall Impressions In most of North America, we are firmly entrenched in the middle of fall.  What is so wonderful about this time of year, is that there are many different things going on.
Not only do you have the bright colours associated with the change of the season but with Halloween just behind us and the American Thanksgiving up ahead, there are lots of ideas to choose from.  However, this month we have another double challenge for you.  Not only do we want to see a fall themed creation, BUT we also want to see some embossing on your project.  Now if you don't have any equipment to emboss, it is okay to use pre-embossed papers.  As long as there is embossing of some nature on your project, and of course it is fit into the fall theme, it will qualify for this challenge.  So how about you impress us with your creations!

Entering is super simple!  You do not need to use a Scribbles Designs image; however, if you do, your name gets entered into the draw twice.  You can purchase your Scribbles Designs images HERE or you can also find one for a limited time on the challenge blog HEREAlso, be sure to check out our special Freebie Friday posts as it is another great way to build your Scribbles Designs collection.  You can find the rest of the rules and information regarding winners in the sidebar on the challenge blog.  You have until 9pm PST on November 14th to come over and play with us.

General Information:
  • Since we asked to see some embossing somewhere on your fall themed project, but didn't specify that it had to be on the front, I've decided to add a couple pennant shapes to the inside of the card.
FRONT
Digital Image Details:
  • Maple Leaf Doodle:  Isn't this tangle just incredible?  As soon as I saw it, I just knew I had to use it.  I just coloured it digitally to match the other colours in the subway art.

Digital Sentiment Details:
  • The awesome piece of coloured subway art that I used in behind the leaf is another wonderful treat created by Paulette from Create with TLC.  Click HERE to go to Paulette's blog and HERE to go to the store.  I just washed it out so it wouldn't be too distracting sitting in behind the leave.

INSIDE
Digital Image Details:
  • I repeated the leaf image on the inside of the card and basically did the reverse, washing it out this time so it wouldn't be too distracting sitting in behind the sentiment.
Digital Sentiment Details:
  • This sentiment is also from Create with TLC.  Links to the blog and store can be found above.
Embossing Folder:
  • The texture on the pennant shapes was created with a Goosebumpz embossing folder using my wonderful Big Shot machine.

OVERALL
Paper Products:
  • Card, image and sentiment base: Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, white.
  • Pennant Shapes:   Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, Neutral Collection.
