Card Design: Deedee's Digi of the Month Challenge...February

Progressive Freebie Challenge!
It is time to post my project for the Digi of the Month Challenge taking place over at Deedee's DigisIn order to enter the progressive challenge, you must either have received the latest image by having participated in the previous month or you can buy the stamp for the current month's challenge.  Everyone who enters and follows the rules is a winner because you automatically get the stamp for the next month's challenge.  Stop by the site and check out the rules for yourself.  Be sure to check out the store while you are there too.  Currently there are a few sets available for free and of course there are some wonderful ones available for purchase in the store.  I'm thrilled to say that Deedee's Digis has also just become a sponsor over on The Path of Positivity and will be sponsoring us later in the year.  We are very excited to have them on board.
Right now it is time to check out the wonderful set participants got to work with this month...
Such cute images and sentiments in the Forever Friends set.  Of course each set comes with both outline and coloured versions to provide you with some variety.  If you did not participate in last month's challenge, you can still purchase this set for just $1.25 during the month of February at the store. You can find it HERE if you are a resident of the European Union, or find it HERE if you are not a resident of the EU.

Here are my card and details...

General Information:
  • For Christmas the hubs got me a paper pad that he had come across in an abandoned cart at the local superstore.  It is filled with some interesting papers including animal prints.  I completely lucked out with finding a tiger print in the book that went perfectly with the image for this card.

FRONT
Digital Image Details:
  • Forever Friends:  You can find this set in the store.  Details above.  I used the coloured version from the set and just added some ground with a couple coloured pencils.
Embellishments:

  • The little glitter fabric hearts are Crafts brand and were purchased at Dollarama.
  • The black ribbon is Offray brand that I got from a stash from my momma.
  • The gold edged sheer black ribbon is also Crafts brand.
Paper Products:
  • The strip of orange paper on the front under the ribbon is from the Ki Fancy Free paper pad.

INSIDE
Digital Sentiment Details:
  • The top part of this wonderful sentiment was created by Paulette from Create with TLC. I picked it up as a freebie a while back.  To find more great freebies, be sure to check out Paulette's blog by clicking HERE. To find awesome sets in the store available for purchase, click HERE.
  • The 'I'm here for you' sentiment is from the Forever Friends set listed at the top of the blog.

OVERALL
Paper Products:

  • Card base and matting on inside: Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, black.
  • Image and sentiment base: Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, white.
  • The tiger print is from the Colorbok Fashionista Designer Pad.

Waving hello from the deep freeze in Florida, but grateful that we ARE in Florida, and not anywhere that shoveling snow, and chipping ice, are required to get through the day!

Aren't these the cutest ever, Lisa? Love the tigers and sentiments.

As much as it pains me to say this, perhaps we should forgo my GDT spot on PoP because our emails, for whatever reason, refuse to play nicely together. I even send to all three of yours - and apparently you don't receive them. And the only way you can contact me, apparently, is thru my blog :-(

I DO have something else happening, soon. Some time ago you and I discussed my writing a little blurb for PoP regarding the month's theme. After much encouragement and support, I am starting a new blog to share some of my thoughts, experiences, and ponderings. Maybe it won't be worth anything, maybe it will inspire one or two - and maybe I'll delete it LOL who knows? It's a big risk. But perhaps I can write something periodically about the PoP theme, you can read it on my new blog, and if you like it, you may use it. How does that sound?

love,
de
