Here is the front of my card...
Here is the inside...
General Notes:
- Seems to be a trend I've started that I am submitting one traditional coloured card and one a little non-traditional in colour for these Christmas challenges. We'll see if the trend continues next month.
- While I didn't have time to do so before having to upload this card for the challenge, I might just go and add some sparkle dust to the cuffs or some snow for the snow. I'll think about it. If I do, I'll just update the picture at that time.
- This stamp is from Anji's Antics. Now because I love you guys so much I went searching for this image for you. When I wasn't able to find it in the store, I started searching through the blog and found it back at the end of November. You can find this cute little button of a snowman HERE.
- Copic markers used--Hat & Mitts: R32, R35, RV29. Scarf: R32, R35, RV29, YG61, YG63, YG67. Cuffs: The colourless blender (CB), N0, C1. Snowman: BG70, BG72 (using the palette transfer method) plus the range of greys used on the cuffs. Ground: BG70, BG72 (using the palette transfer method) and the colourless blender (CB). Sky: medium blue pastel (chalk) from Faber-Castell.
- Oy Vey! After spending close to 2 and 1/2 hours colouring this teeny-tiny image, as I was colouring the belly of the snowman, I realized that I had picked up the set of grey markers and not the blues so you can see a bit of a difference and it is a bit darker than I would have liked because I had to go in and add the blues. In hindsight it doesn't look too bad but it certainly caused me a mini panic attack at the time. Note to self: Even if it is 2:30 in the morning, CONCENTRATE before adding colour to image. After all that time working on it, I couldn't bring myself to scrap it and start over. Well that and the fact that I am down to the wire for enthering the challenge this month. Again.
Digital Sentiment:
- Let it snow quote (front): This fabulous sentiment, so perfect for this card is one of Sandy's awesome images. You can purchase it HERE over at Scribbles Designs. I know it won't be the last time I use it.
- Joy of the Season (inside): This is a sentiment that I created for one of my holiday handouts back in December. If you missed it and would like a copy of it you can click HERE to go to the original post. You are free to use this image on projects you intend to sell. Just be sure to read my terms of use to understand the limitations.
Paper Products:
- Card Base: Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, white.
- Designer Papers: Lightly swirled paper (front) and the stars/snowflake paper (front and inside)--Recollections Bright Christmas Cardstock Paper.
- Other Papers: Shadow for front pieces and for inside sentiment-- Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, red.
- Craft brand red ribbon--from Dollarama.
Embellishments:
- Combination of fabric and a material that for the life of me I can't come up with the word for, that I know is a really easy word that I hoped would come to be as I rambled but it didn't, Craft brand from Dollarama. Yes, I do suffer from word retrieval issues as part of one of my health conditions. I've actually been lucky that it doesn't happen more often when writing my posts. You should try to follow some of the conversations that go on in this house when I'm trying to describe something that I can't find the proper words for. It's like a combination of charades, name that tune and go fish. Good thing my husband likes game shows!

Well that is it for this month's Christmas cards for the LAPCC. This time I managed to get my cards done and uploaded with a whole day and eight hours to spare. Much better than last month. Beat my entry time by thirteen hours. Woo Hoo. Maybe next month I'll be up to two days beforehand. Well, a person can dream can't they?
Until next time,

Love your snowman Lisa. I know all about picking up the wrong marker and starting colouring and then realise that it isn't the colour I thought it was - and I don't have the excuse of 2.30am either! Usually it is because I didn't check the number on the side.
Lisa~It looks great even if you did use the gray and the blue. I need to do my 2 images as well. I am SO far behind trying to do wedding stuff & moving stuff & DT stuff. LOL There is something about doing all of that & trying to have a life that doesn't all fit very well together! :) I love having you stop by my blog. Thank you so very much!!! I promise to try to stop by as often as I can as soon as this move is over! :) Hugs~Patti
WOW that's a lot of time coloring... and I can imagine the panic that seized you when you realize that it wasn't what you had originally intended. But it's still gorgeous. Great job staying ahead!!!
lisa, Your card is beautiful! I love the papers you used. I just love this snowman. He is so jolly. Thanks for sharing. Edwina Brown
Very organised you are. Its a great way to put less stress on the festive season, to create the cards during the year. Your colouring is beautiful. Love the colours being a little bit off the traditional track.

It's always such a blessing to me when you stop by and share with us at Word Art Wednesday. I'm just so grateful to God for allowing our paths to cross so that we could meet and become friends and share our art with one another. You are such a blessing to me. Thanks for sharing again this week, and may God bless your days as a result.
Hugs,
Karen

I love the gray mixed with the blue, gives a really nice depth and shadow to your snowman and also because I love mixing colors like that!! :) Just so you know, I spent 15 minutes rummaging through all my supplies looking for those snowflake embellishments because I can't think of the word either...LOL. Is it felt? or are they thicker like foam? Ohh..foam..that's the word I couldn't think of. I like game shows too, makes conversations so much more interactive! HAHAHA
Big hugs,
Lisa xx

Awww, what a sweet card! You'll love to be ahead come the Christmas season.
Your card is wonderful. Thanks for joining us for Lady Anne's Christmas Progressive Challenge.
This is so cute! I didn't even notice the gray on the snowman. And I know what it's like to craft at 2:30 a.m. and make a mistake! LOL! I can get pretty creative in covering mistakes :) I really should start my Christmas cards now, that's the only way they would get done!! Thanks for playing in our neighborhood at 613 Avenue Create this week.

I managed to make both of my cards this month for the challenge though the snowman did go in at the eleventh hour again. Wonder whose images we will get to play with next month? Really like your jolly snowman. I went for all blues on mine as the day I made him we had hail stones the size of peas that covered the lawn like a carpet of snow and it was so cold.
It did make it easier to make a christmas card out of season month wise. Hugs Mrs A.
Such a wonderful winter lay-out. Colors are vibrant and fun. Thanks for joining our Challenge at our neighborhood---613 Avenue Create. Have a blessed day!
