Hello everyone. Today over at San's Design, we have a blog hop going on.
I’m so happy to be participating in
the San’s Design “Framed” Blog Hop! It is my very first one so I am rather excited and a little nervous.
April 5th
& April 6th
This is a 2 day hop so you have lots of time to visit the DT participants and comment on their projects.
If you've arrived
here from Gry's blog then you are in the right place. If not,
you can always start at San’s Design
and hop from the very beginning. Your next stop is Vicky's blog.

Here is the front of the card I am showcasing for the blog hop using the wonderfully versatile quilt frame...
Here is the inside of the card using one of the sentiments from the hugs and kisses kit...
Here are the card details, I hope I haven't forgotten anything...
General Information:
- As soon as I saw this frame and the hugs and kisses sentiment package, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. It was the perfect idea for a game of hugs and kisses tic tac toe.
- Now I had really wanted to embellish this up, adding flower groups in opposite corners but since I haven't decided who the card is going to yet and it is possible it could go to my husband, I didn't want to girlie it up too much.
- Quilt Frame (front): The image on the front of the card is part of the fabulous new 'framed' release from San which is taking place tomorrow.
- I coloured the squares and stitches in Photoshop Essentials after scanning in the DP and matching for colour. I then fussy cut around it.
- Inside: The sentiment also comes from San and is being issued in this same release along with several other versions of the same sentiment idea. Check out the watermark above to see the other formats available in this great kit.
Paper Products:
- Card base, layer in behind front image and shadow for letters: Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, black. For the shadow on the front I tried to fussy cut around it in the same shape that the quilt is.
- Designer Papers: Black and pink paper (front)--Recollection's All Girl paper pad. The solid textured pink paper used for the x's and o's is Michael's open stock scrapbook paper.
- I used Doodletype to cut out the x's and o's and their accompanying shadow.
Ribbon:
- I have layered a thinner pink ribbon onto a strip of black. Both the black and the pink ribbon are Offray brand. The pink is from a stash from my momma and the black I picked up at Michaels.
Challenges I hope to enter include:
- Crafter's Digital Art Centre -- Anything Goes
- Word Art Wednesday -- Challenge #74: Anything Goes
- 613 Avenue Create -- Challenge 13: Anything Goes
Bonus!!!!
Don't forget to stop by San’s
Design on Saturday to pick up her latest freebie which will be one of the new frames. Everyone loves
a freebie and this one will not disappoint. You can also see the rest of this great release at the same time.
In case you get lost along the way, here is the whole line-up...

Thanks for stopping by and remember, in order to qualify for the amazing prize San has up for grabs, you'll need to leave a comment on each of the blogs. I look forward to hearing what you think about my card.
Until next time,
Note: I apologize if there are any further formatting issues. This is a scheduled post and we all know Blogger has a mind of it's own. If it turns out that something looks wonky, i.e.--part of the sentence is a different size, font, or colour than the rest, I'll fix it as soon as I'm able to.
