Blogger Word Verification Changes

Hey everyone I'm just popping in to share some Blogger changes with you.  Some of you may have noticed that every time you leave a comment on my blog, or even in a private DT blog and possibly other places where you never used to have fill in a CAPTCHA, that you are suddenly required to prove you are not a robot.  Well I can guarantee with this blog anyway, that word verification is still OFF.

From the research I've done, it apparently has to do with the third party cookie filters in regards to the recently added Google One account logins. The suggestions were to enable (stop filtering) "third party cookies", in our browser and on our computer. Now I don't know about you, but I'm not really comfortable with changing that feature.  I was secretly hoping Google would fix things.  HOWEVER, I have just learned there is a way around it.  Thanks to Helen from Crafting Helen, who suggested to just leave the CAPTCHA area empty and simply click the 'publish your comment' button anyway.  So, far I've done exactly that on four separate comments I've left on different blogs and they have all been published.

Just thought I'd share this with you in case you're experiencing the same frustrations. Hopefully, Blogger won't realize the mistake and we'll continue to be able to it this way.

Until next time,

thanks for the tip Lisa!

Ugh this really stinks! Some challenge DTs won't leave comments if they have to type in a code. Thanks for sharing. I'll give it a try with this comment.

You are perfectly right Lisa, we´ve had the same problems everywhere in blogland, but we were a bunch of ladies, who found out, that we don´t need to fill it out, and not even on those we used to anymore, and i haven´t had one comment on those blogs, that haven´t just been published, but on the other hand, I´ve also experienced several blogs, where I´ve always been able to comment before, where muy comments just wanish in thin airr and simply disappear, and that´s also frustrating, so I really hope, that Blogger will soon find out, what´s going on and get it all fixed.

I had to embed my comments in order for this to go away. Some people may not realize that they don't have to type the caption. I also feel uncomfortable changing that 3rd party setting. Let's see if this theory works - of not writing the caption.

I just left the comment above without the caption. :)
