While checking out their last challenge, I noticed a badge in the sidebar stating that they were having a DT call. I thought, what the heck, I can just see what the requirements are. Well, as it turns out, team members only need to make one card a month. While the challenge is bi-weekly, the teams are split into two. Right now with my schedule, one card a month is all I could possibly take on and since I really like her images, I decided, what the heck, give it a shot. Well, my aim took hold because I am happy to say that I am now a proud designer for Pattie's Creations; and, on that note, it is time to tell you about our most recent challenge.
It is time for Challenge #85 and the theme for the next two weeks is Use Red in Your Image. That is a pretty simple one right?
The rules are pretty simple as well. Along with all the typical rules that apply to the majority of challenges out there (please click HERE to become familiar with all the rules), you MUST USE A DIGITAL OR STAMPED IMAGE to qualify for the drawing (unless stated otherwise). We would absolutely love to see you use a Pattie's Creations (PC) image on your card, but you are allowed to use other images. If you do use a PC image, you will gain an extra entry in the draw and will have a better chance to WIN! You can enter twice per challenge and of course MUST follow all the challenge requirements that are posted for each challenge. Easy Peasy right! Since this fortnight's challenge theme is a particularly easy one, given that Valentine's Day is right around the corner and many people will be using red in their images, I hope that you will consider joining in.
Here is the card I created to help provide you with a little inspiration...
General Comments:
- The main elements of the card were put together digitally. The main image on the front and the inside remained as line art and then I coloured it once it was printed. The front and the inside were cut out and then layered onto the card base, leaving the card base to serve as a bit of a background for a little extra depth.
FRONT
Digital Image:
- Roses in Milk Bottle: For this challenge I got to work with this beautiful floral image. You can find this image in Pattie's Etsy shop by clicking on the image name or watermark linked below.
- While the water in the bottle was added using digital brushes courtesy of Web Designer's Lab through Brusheezy, the rest remained lined art. Once it was printed, I coloured it in with Copic markers and grounded it in two shades of chalk. Colours used--Roses: R22, R24, R29. Stems/leaves: YG61, YG63, YG67.
INSIDE
Digital Sentiment/Image:
- This, really pretty sentiment/image is from my Create with TLC collection of images. Click HERE to go to Paulette's blog and HERE to go to the store.
OVERALL
Paper Products:
- Card base: Michael's Recollection's cardstock, Pink Buttons Collection.
- I used two frames and two digital papers from the Romantic Roses kit available at {Computer}Scrapbook.com. Unfortunately, the designer's name wasn't included in this particular kit.
- Avenue 613 -- Anything Goes with optional twist
- http://www.wordartwednesday.blogspot.ca/ -- Anything Goes
- http://bearlymine-challenges.blogspot.ca/ -- Vintage Romance (hope it is Vintage looking enough to meet the challenge requirements)
- http://paperminutes.blogspot.ca/ -- Friends (this card is meant for a friend)
- http://sweetstampsblog.blogspot.ca/ (1E)-- Red, Pink and White (all three colours appear in my card)
- http://toptiptuesday.blogspot.ca -- Girly
- http://craftingfromtheheartchallengeblog.blogspot.ca/ -- Anything Goes/ Use Red
- http://eurekastamps.blogspot.ca/ -- Red, Pink and White (all three colours appear in my card)
I really hope that you will join us sometime during the next two weeks. As always, I hope that you will also check out what my fabulous teammates have offered up for inspiration. Oh and Psst...Pattie is offering up a new freebie today. Freebies go up the first Friday of the month but you better hurry because it will only be available for three days. You won't want to miss it!
Until next time,

Lisa,
Welcome to Pattie's Creations Design Challenge Design Team. I love how you digitally put together this project and how you left my image "Roses in Milk Bottle" plain and colored it after. Great idea...
