FBD: Summertime and the Livin' is Easy Blog Hop for May

Good Morning and welcome to the May Fresh Brewed Designs Blog Hop!
If you have already visited the challenge blog and are arriving
here from
SHERYL's blog, then you are right on track!
If not, then go BACK to the start >>HERE<< at Freshly Brewed Challenges
.

Last month we welcomed in Spring,
but this month we are moving on into summer!
Sand in our toes, the smell of salty air, late evening walks, sticky, Popsicle covered faces, mosquitoes...
Yes, it is almost here.
And we are SO EXCITED!!!

Here is a card I created featuring one of Heather's newest digital stamps called: Beach Getaway.

Check out what I made...

FRONT
Image Details:
  • Vacation Getaway:  One of the great new releases available today.  Head on over to the Blog and Store to check them all out!
    •  I have coloured this image with a combination of coloured pencils and digitally.
      • Digital credits:
        • Water & Sky/Background Clouds (patterns):   Webtreats
        • Sand was achieved using a canvas pattern available in Photoshop Elements (PE).
        • Texture on wall was achieved using a concrete pattern also available in PE.
  • I also added another of Heather's images to the scene.  Her Peekaboo Sunshine is the perfect accompaniment.  Click on the watermark below to head to its location in the store.  This is such a wonderfully useful image that I've now managed to incorporate into my creations a few times.

    • This image was coloured with coloured pencils as well.
Digital Embellishments:
  • Basic shapes were created for matting in behind the image (and sentiment on the inside) and for the corner pieces.
  • Bevels were added to achieve a look of depth.

INSIDE
Digital Sentiment:
  • I thought this was the perfect sentiment to work with this card.  Of course, it is one from Paulette over at Create With TLC.  I picked it up as a freebie a while back.  Click HERE to go to Paulette's blog and HERE to go to the store.

OVERALL
Paper Products:
  • Card base: Michael's Recollection's cardstock, white.
Digital Papers:
  • Once I figured out the sentiment, I knew just what I wanted to do for my background paper.  Scribbles Designs had just the image that was perfect for making this paper.  The original sun image is currently a freebie and you can find it HERE!  Stay tuned because soon you'll also be able to purchase the paper too as Sandy will be putting it in the store, once I have finished putting a set together.  So exciting!!!
Challenges I am hoping to enter...
